Falcons Playoff experience....looking for input.

Question

Looking over recent Falcons playoff experience and came across some interesting stats.

2008--Lost to Cardinals

Hottest and Best team in NFC playoffs and 2:37 away from winning Super Bowl

2010-Lost to Packers

WON Super Bowl

2011-Lost to NY Giants

WON Super Bowl

Only reason I feel they are getting 4 is all the talks about them not winning playoff games. (Along with SF beating GB the way they did).

This year in playoffs they beat maybe the best and hottest team in the NFC, (playing very similar to GB in 2010 and NY 2011, wildcard team playing best football at end of year).

In Conclusion, they have plaid the best teams possible and had bad draws for who they have played in playoffs last few years. Again this year it happens again, but they triumph and win, and I think will beat SF to advance to playoffs.

And I am a 49ets fan, not homer.

Well once again they face a very tough opponent in the playoffs.  Will the Falcons win obviously it is possible?  On the other hand, they haven&#x27;t been able to beat those very good teams in those spots.  Their recorded losses are facts.  This is a different year and a new opportunity.  They may finally get it done but I think history, matchups, and the inflation of the line due to CK performance have a lot to do with the line.  Take it for what it is worth.

The line is certainty inflated. Especially considering ATL is home.  We have had so much talk about ATL flopping in the playoffs, and I believe those reasons above are partial reasons to why they have bad in the playoffs.

Atlanta has lost to some very good teams as you pointed out. Normally I'd say that would be meaningful but in Atlanta's case I would say not.

And here's why......................................Atlanta is a weak statistical no.1 seed and the history of such teams does not bode well for Atlanta.

When they got rolled by Packers they were..................quess what.........................a weak statisitcal no.1 seed.

They are 0-2 ATS as such and history overwelming says it should very well be 0-3 ATS after today................................................

Atlanta also has many close wins against teams with losing records, another indicator of a weak team.

This is especially troublesome for a team who has a great home record under Ryan but wins soooo many close games and can't blow-out teams with losing records is screaming at you telling you all about the Falcons, just listen............................................
