Got a rather easy win last week. Didnt rally matter that I wasnt able to get the lines i wanted. DEN +9.5, BAL +9.5, GB +2 and HOU +3 all won comfortably and i was able to build my bankroll.

BigSull - NE was definitely one of my finalists, but didnt feel comfortable not getting them at over +3.5, While i think they win the game, i guess im kinda Leary of how BUF smashed them in the first half earlier in the year... although the pats smashed them doubly hard in the 2nd half, BAL hasnt been lights out lately but i think they got back to basics getting Rice more involved and Flacco had a decent game against a decent browns def...like getting them over a FG at home. didnt ,like IND at +10 since ties lose, but even if it were 10.5, i dont see them as that much different then JAX. and could easily see either team winning by 10+ depending on the day.
Basically I like taking a top tier team (best) vs a bottom tier team (worst) and use the 13 pts to take the edge away...
If u notice all the games I take either give me extremely good value in the number, or follows the strategy above. DEN vs CAR, SF vs STL, PIT vs KC, BAL vs OAK... all are division leaders vs 1-2 win teams...best vs worst

Willie---sorry for not getting back sooner My question deals with both sides of the teaser...for instance DEN is +9.5 on your 13 pt teaser above and Caroline would be +17. If I choose Den at what point would be a loser and vice versa for Caroline...hope this makes sense....

Milagrosman: When played you only pick one team. You don't deal with both
sides. If you pick Carolina all you have to do is add your 16.5pts. to the
total score. Vice versa you pick Broncos you + 9.5 to the total
score. Broncos was set at -3.5, tease +13 brings it to +9.5. He bet
Broncos as the better team and teased it to gain more points in the
total score just in case.It doesn't matter what Carolina has unless you
teased them. If you think Broncos will beat Carolina by the spread (-3.5) but not 16.5, then you wanna tease Carolina the 13pts. So the spread +3.5 plus the teaser +13 brings the odds up +16.5 in your
favor (Carolina). Wait for final score then add.. Hope it helps. BOL in the future

Willie Thanks...I understand that part...let me present my question in another way....Is there a point in the final score where you could have picked either team and come up with a winner. For example, last week I teased GB +2 against ARIZ. The spread was 11.5 between the two teams....which gave GB +2 and ARIZ +25.. The final score was 31-17 GB....adding points scored 31 + 2 gave GB 33 points....adding ARIZ 17 + 25 gave ARIZ 42 points. The difference is +9 in ARIZ favor..My pick of GB +2 won...and what I am saying is that if I bet another teaser with ARIZ +25 would also have been a winner. So the only way ARIZ could have lost at +25 is when GB final score + teaser points was greater than ARIZ final score plus teaser points. Is this correct? Thanks for your assistance on this.

Milagrosman - YES, alot of times it really doesnt matter which team you pick in the teaser, cuz both teams (teased) would have won... Vegas picks the spread so accurately that it usually falls within 1-3 points of what the spread was, so it wouldnt matter which side you chose they both would have won. especially in 13 point teasers.
BUT ON THE FLIP SIDE... This is the NFL and it is very possible to lose in teasers... maybe the starting QB gets hurt, or an unexpected turnover for a td or some major player gets knocked the fuck out. you never know in this game...
This year has definitely been a year for the underdog with alot of teams winning games they shouldnt have... but that is the main reason why i play teasers, it takes the edge off so i feel more comfortable betting more money then normal.

In this situation if you take Den +9 and Carolina wins by 10 then my Denver bet would be a loser.... Also if you had Carolina at +17 and denver wins by 17+ then Carolina bet would lose, because in 13 point teasers ties lose, BUT if you had Carolina +17.5 and den won by 17 then your Carolina bet would win.
