Huge weekend, we profited over $8,000
NCAAF/NFL YTD: +28,025 (+56.03u) 67-45-1 ATS/Totals (60.0%)
$1500 Detroit Lions +7 (wait for it to move to 7, if it doesn't buying the hook is recommended)
Some points about this game first:
This is a Division game
The Lions are 3-1 ATS in the last four meetings.
Lions are off the most impressive win of the season.
Bears have only played one team with a winning record and they lost by 13 (Packers, Cutler was horrible in that game)
Although the Lions are 2-3, their biggest lost was by 8 @ San Fran.
Detroit.
Ok lets look at this game a little closer. Like I said before this is a division game and the Lions desperately need a W to avoid dropping too far back in this division. If they lose this game their season may be in Jeaopardy because you have the Vikings with only one loss, Packers at 4-3, and have won 2 in a row, and these Bears at 4-1. So you can see how badly they must win this game. The Bears are off a bye and are well rested, and will want to improve their record and stay at the top of the division. That being said I don't know if they will have the same type of urgency that the Lions will have.
Stafford finally got in rhythm last week against a good eagles defense. And they won that game as underdogs. Cutler lost his #2 receiver in Alshon Jeffery last week, and the Bears dont have a true #2 to fill his spot. The biggest impact that will have is the Lions ability to double Brandon Marshall. Since there isn't any other big threat on the other side of the field, the lions will be able to give safety help on Marshall, which should limit his catches/targets tonight. With out his security blanket in Marshall i'll look for cutler to struggle a bit. I'm sure the Bears will try and establish the run tonight with their 2-headed monster, but the Lions are familiar with this and will make Cutler throw it to beat them. With Marshall being doubled, I think Cutler has a hard time.
