Ugly week in Week 2 for sure...got killed by the Patriots who thought they could just show up and beat the Cardinals. That backfired. The Bills and Spiller went nuts offensively and ruined that UNDER...and the Saints/Panthers just had too many turnovers. Oh well, we move on and carry forward!!

1. San Francisco 49ers (2) - Another huge win against a damn tough team. Defense is lights out, and the offense is putting up decent numbers. Only question is what happens when they play a top level defense.
2. Atlanta Falcons (6) - Big move up after humiliating Peyton Manning on Monday Night. Interesting to see if anything comes of the Michael Turner DWI situation.
3. Baltimore Ravens (4) - Moved up in the rankings despite losing. They got screwed by a phantom offensive pass interference call...and went into Philly and got a win.
4. Houston Texans (5) - Great win over another bad team. I still want to see what this defense is made of before I put them as a contender in the AFC.
5. San Diego Chargers (11) - Two easy wins so far. Offense looks great, and they will be getting their starting running back very quickly. September woes might be over?
6. Green Bay Packers (10) - Statement win after an embarassing loss to the 49ers. They need to figure out the running back situation if they want sustained success.
7. New England Patriots (1) - Big fall back...like I said earlier, they thought they just had to show up to get the win. Hernandez injury could slow down the offense a little bit. Picking up Winslow Jr. might help a little, and Branch knows the offense very well.
8. Arizona Cardinals (21) - Huge move up in my rankings. Defense is damn good, and Kevin Kolb has had a week and a half of decent performance. Strongly doubt it will continue.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (17) - I was interested to see how Mike Wallace continued to improve, and he threw up 5 catches for 74 yards and a TD. They will be a threat all the way.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (15) - Worst of the 2-0 teams because in my mind they still haven't gone out and WON a game yet. Vick still has severe turnover problems.
11. New York Giants (19) - Offensive issues cleared up, but they still gave up a ton of points to the Bucs. Want to see them figure out a running game as well.
12. Dallas Cowboys (3) - Well that was a shit-fest of a game. Especially after the extra time to prepare.
13. Detroit Lions (7) - I just don't know if this team can compete long term with the truly great defenses in the NFL. We saw it against the 49ers big time...just not enough weapons outside of Megatron.
14. New York Jets (8) - Remember how I said the offensive questions won't just go away?
15. Seattle Seahawks (24) - Great home win against a better opponent. Lynch certainly played a bigger role and Wilson did look a little less stressed.
16. Chicago Bears (9) - It's a little different playing the Colts at home than it is going up against the Packers in Lambeau. More questions about Cutler keep popping up...they need Forte to be a beast and earn his contract.
17. Carolina Panthers (20) - Move up 3 spots with a good win against a divsion rival. They could not have gone down to 0-2 in the South that quickly, and Newton got back to being a playmaker
18. Denver Broncos (12) - Glad I didn't put them higher on the list last week. Can't drop them down too much however because after those first three drives, they controlled a lot of the game.
19. Washington Redskins (14) - They played a better defensive team (although slightly) and couldn't get it done. If the Redskins want to compete in the NFC East, those are the games they have to find a way to win.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13) - Big drop back after their defense failed to contain the big play time and time and time again. 25 points late in the game won't get it done.
21. New Orleans Saints (18) - I will continue to drop them back until this defense finds some kind of emotion to play on. After all the shit they've been through, they aught to find something
22. Buffalo Bills (23) - Had to move them up a spot after the demolition of the Chiefs. Spiller is a dynamic back with big play potential every time he touches the ball.
23. Cincinnati Bengals (22) - Should have been able to manhandle the Browns, but still a nice day from Dalton to get the win.
24. Indianapolis Colts (27) - First win of many more to come for Andrew Luck...looked a lot calmer at home than he did against the Bears. Should continue that trend all season.
25. Minnesota Vikings (16) - Had to continue the success of the Week 1 win on the road, but they let it slip away.
26. St. Louis Rams (29) - Great win to silence the RG3 talks. Good way to open up at home, Amendola played HUGE.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars (26) - Worst offense in the league, and one of the worst defenses. Not a good combo.
28. Miami Dolphins (30) - I'll move them up a couple of spots for beating the Raiders. It would be nice to see Reggie Bush continue this strong running. Maybe he finally figured it out?
29. Tennessee Titans (25) - No reason not to drop them way back once again. Chris Johnson has completely dropped off the face of the Earth.
30. Kansas City Chiefs (28) - Given up more points through two games than anyone else in the league. Their offense hasn't been terrible, but it's mostly because they find themselves down so early in games.
31. Oakland Raiders (31) - Almost supplanted the Browns as the worst team in the league. Darren McFadden has 54 yards rushing, their defense is giving up 150 yards rushing per game (and that's against Reggie Bush and the no-names from San Diego) and they just look flat out bad in both games.
32. Cleveland Browns (32) - They might have found a comfortable home here at the bottom of the list. Only stat they are in the top 20 in after 2 weeks is rushing yards.

Projected this out to be a 9 point spread for the Steelers who are coming off a huge win against the Jets at home, now going up against one of if not the worst offense in the league. The Raiders have struggled to run the ball against the Chargers and Dolphins, two teams that are not exactly known for their rush defense. Biggest reason for this pick is the Steelers defense without a doubt. Polamalu might return for this game, which is all the more reason to jump on this one now. I figure absolutely worse case scenario is a push in a game where the Steelers just ground and pound and eat up the clock. I don't see that game happening though. Prediction: Steelers 31 Raiders 14

New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers UNDER 51.5 (2.2 to win 2)
The two Thursday Night games have both gone UNDER spread, and fairly safely at that. There has been 74 points scored in the two games, and both featured prolific offensive attacks. This game features two teams that are more known for their defense, and have some high powered weapons on the offensive side of the ball. This is something that might be a recurring play for me on these Thursday Night games. Teams just don't have as much time to prepare and come up with a complete game plan. Especially when the Giants had a tough battle with Tampa Bay, and the Panthers had their own emotional game against divisional rivals New Orleans. It just seems that these games are filled with preventative offense, and try not to make mistakes game management. Prediction: Panthers 23 Giants 20

what in the world is cincy doing at 23, behind the saints, tampa, washington, etc? they were up on the browns the whole game (who for all we know, may be a good team this season) and had a very tough first game.
the browns will have a winning record ats this season.

Too many fucked up situations in Chicago right now, reasonably solid upset pick with the Rams, effective running game to slow the game down. I just see them either hitting a back door or keeping it close the whole way.

Their defense will step up even without Revis, and find a way to win this game. Rex Ryan must be salivating at the thought of going up against a rookie quarterback. Run the ball, don't turn the ball over, get out of town with a 10 point win. Prediction: Jets 23 Dolphins 13
