As we all know, "bounty play" is nothing new to the NFL. Its just the fact that New Orleans got caught. Now they have to pay. Now that Peyton has fessed up, which was the right thing to do..he too has to pay..literally.
If I were Goodell I would hand out the Saints the same punishment as was levied on the Patriots for "Spygate". $250,000 fine for the team. $500,000 for the head coach. Loss of draft picks in this years draft including any first round picks that they may have and then bring the punishment one step further:
Make sure this never happens again by sitting Peyton down and telling him "Your players will be watched very carefully by the refs every sunday on every play...If the refs feel there was a marginal call..you will be flagged. Plan on being flagged, a lot. Especially on long ball passes near the goal line. Even if your player intercepts the pass...I'm sure the ref is going to rule that YOUR defender interfered with the reciever....First down on the one......Peyton, plan on that happening....GOT IT? In fact, you might as well tell your owner that you will not win a game this year..Maybe, just maybe I'll get my point across. You were caught red handed...You have made me look like an asshole...I don't like being made to look bad."

fine the organization, owner, and the coaches involved if you have to. This whole thing is a joke though. The media is just making it a big deal. Every former NFL player for the most part has laughed at this whole thing saying it has been going on for decades.
