pats d line and niners d line night and day.... impossible to run against the niners line all year and they got amazing pressure without extravagant blitzes all year, just stunts and frontline movement....
wolfolk is good but they played the broncos and ravens the last two weeks, both at home..... not surprising that they would have looked at least pretty good.
giants o line probably isn't that great (last in league in rushing shows that) but i don't think it's the "key" matchup here... no way eli's under the stress he was in the rain at night in san francisco here against the pats

The NINERS d-line has made every o-line look bad the whole season. So this is nothing new even against the Saints' line with like three pro-bowlers.
Can the pats d-line get decent pressure on Eli? That's the question because if they have to resort to blitzes, Eli's going to eat up that secondary all day long with his wrs. Manningham is going to have a great game imo.

Giants O line have been a work in progress and have come together nicely the past 6 weeks. I give credit to SF as they had their way w/ our O line thankfully so did our front 4 w/ SF's o line. Here is the bottom line....when you can't establish a ground game they are gonna come at you w/ ears pinned. Giants didn't do quite enough on the ground 90 yds or so won't cut it for a defense like SF to respect ground game they are too good up front imo the best in the NFL. Pats are quietly good up front but nothing like SF and their secondary is a shell of what SF brings so you will not see the same thing here. Giants will have success on the ground as will the Pats. These 2 defenses don't want to get beat they will keep everything in front of them and as a result both be vulnerable to the rush. This in essence is the key to the game whoever has more success on ground w/ out turning it over wins as they are both prototypical play action passing teams that have to have 20-25 rush attempts to be successful

GRush--you r right they have played much better but I really think this is a completely different animal they are up against w/ 3 stud receivers and a QB that is light years ahead of those 2 team's qbs it's going to be a tall order to limit Giants offense unless.......they can stymie run and force Giants into one dimensional game. Same exact holds true on other side of the ball. It's always cliche to talk about how important it is to stop the run but it's never more true when you take into consideration these two teams and their offensive style of play where it will come down to who runs it more effectively turns it over less thus having more possessions. GL!

its all bout the revenge factor, but if you look at the past history, team with the better d wins.
also if my memory serves me correct, winner from the wild card game goes on to win.

Eli Manning has been sacked eight times, which are the most, in the playoffs. However, Eli also has 8/1 TD/INT ratio in the same span. It's just that type of ball games Giants have played and won. And Giants have faced much tougher defensive teams than those of Pats. Granted, Pats did score 20+ points against Ravens but looked at who Giants have beat on the road, the NFC #1 seed Packers and #2 seed team which played defense as tought as son of the gun. I guess arguably, Niners' defensive line did rush QB better than Ravens.
Good luck, GR!
