I really can't comprehend why people can't be objective when it comes to betting.

I've bet against the Niners many times over the past 10 years. It doesn't mean I root for them any less than any of you. In fact, I doubt very much you'll find someone who knows their team as well as I do. In my opinion you can never be good at sports betting until you can be objective. I learned that a long time ago. If you can't separate team loyalty than I don't advise you too. I can and it doesn't impact my rooting interest one iota.

Wait ,wait , wait... Hold on a second... Youre a big 49ers fan, correct ? The Niners have not been this close to a SuperBowl in how long ? You mean to tell me that last week when you had $$ on the Saints, you sat there watching the game and rooting for the Saints ?

  If thats the case, then youre clearly not a big Niner fan at all and should get rid of that Avatar..  It would crush me to sit there and root for the Saints when I Love the Niners and know that they have a championship team who can compete for the Super Bowl.. I have plenty of friends who are DIE HARD Giant fans and a few think the Niners will win but under no condition would they wager on the Niners and have to sit there and root against their team.. I guess it depends on how big a fan you are of the team you follow and love. Good luck.
