Imo these five teams have basically no chance whatsoever to go all the way. New Englands defense is so terrible i really think theyre one and done. Denvers offense is worse than new englands defense. The giants are just so.inconsistent and regardless of how good they may look one week theyll lay the biggest.egg.once you believe in them. Atlanta is just overrated imo, they beat up on the bad teams yet lose EVERY SINGLE TIME they play a good team. Lastly, Detroit just has a terrible defense as well and theyll give up 30 every single game

I agree xcept the Pats.Granted they can not go on spotting good teams 21 pts and xpect the same results. But they will be home and will not be easy to beat.

lol pats have no chance? what an idiot. dont you find it strange that the pats come out with a soft defense that lets teams just go up and down the field then all the sudden shut teams out for the last 2-3 quarters? just watch and see how the defense plays in the playoffs i guarantee you they wont be allowing the yards they did in the regular season. pats are going to and will win the superbowl. sorry pats haters get over it.

I would replace New England with Houston and even add Cincy in there. I have a feeling the OP put New England in there to be inflammatory and get the type of response that he did.

I think the G Men could run the table. They have the best front four in football and that says a lot. I was watching them last night and thought I would ride them as far as they could go. IF that line gets totally healthy, they could cause some havoc.

green bay was a wildcard team that lost 3 straight on the road to end the season last year. the giants lost 2 of 3 to end the season when they beat new england who everyone penciled in for the championship. both green bay and the saints have below average defenses and green bay has serious problems with their offensive line. any team with a good pass ruch can beat those teams just like seattle beat new orleans last year and the big underdog giants beat new england a couple of years ago.
houston, denver and detroit can't win the super bowl. other than that, i think people may be surprised as to how this plays out.

To me its a five horse race, Gb, New Orleans, SF (dont even really think they can either), Pitt, and Balty. I would be utterly amazed if one of those five teams does not win the Super Bowl.
The team that most of you disagree strongly with me on is New Enland. Im sorry guys but their defense is just too awful imo, like another guy said the only way they even get one win is if they face houston or cincy. Pitt or Balty will throttle them, and i am a pats fans to some degree. If im wrong i will come back and admit i whiffed on this bigtime but i just dont see it. Gl guys

Can SF or NYG D's shut down Saints and/or Packers and then New England?
Doubt it.
Can Baltimore or Pitt or Houston's D's shut down New England?
Doubt it. Maybe Baltimore.
Green Bay over New England.
Dark horses: Giants over Baltimore
GL
not necessarily disagreeing with you but you say defense wins championships and then pick 2 of the worst 3 defenses in the playoffs to go to the super bowl??

I agree with the posters that say the Giants have a shot. With a healthy D-line they can play with anyone. They need Nicks, Ballard and Manningham to get healthy, With a full set of healthy receivers, they can score points.

Cruz is a one-man wide receiver set.

Patriots have a high chance of making the SuperBowl. Whoever they play from the NFC (Giants, Packers, Saints), it will be the greatest SuperBowl game in NFL history.
