I'm kind of in the same boat having the Giants +16.5 as the last leg of 11 team teaser $100 to hIt $1650

Trying to figure out best way to hedge that. Probably going to have to dump some on the Saints -7 

Maybe I'll even hit a middle but I would just want to at least make some $ guaranteed.

The majority advice is to hedge you don't want to win nothing.

Yes, You should backup on the under. $500.00. You still winner 1,420.

Maybe hedge half like $900 to guarantee a higher payout? At least win $960?

But $1920 is much better..

Tough call man I have to make the same decision!!!

I will prob go closer to half on mine.

Just want to make sure that I win something.  Don't want to shoot myself in the Foot (Stevie Johnson) on this last play on 10 team parlay since Saturday.

My bruddah i could see you hitting that without hedging, but as they say anything can happen. If either QB gets hurt your over would be shot....I'd hedge. By the way good job.....

I would only hedge about $150 if I were you.

You have earned the chance to win the big cash, don't be a putz - take it.  That being said... if you hedge $150 you cover your cost of the parlay, plus $100 to win.  either way it turns out, you are a winner.

Don't be a douche and sulk about it if you lose either, its gambling.

Bet opposite half of the amount to make the money for sure.

Not like me, waiting for the pitt game of -10.5 for 1300 and i only bet 200 for KC, and thats what I won. freaky 200..Now i wish i should of took half regardless and be happy with 650 on KC.

My lesson learn.

Honestly I would hedge right down the middle, so about $960 on the under. Don't ever pass up guaranteed money.  Good luck with your decision.

Nice bet.  This is always a great situation to be in, and a definite time to hedge in my opinion.  

Fwiw, I kind of agree with some of the other comments.  I personally never like to hedge a large parlay 50%.  Think of all the effort to get the first 9 games in and then you lose 1/2 of your potential winnings on one bet.  Not to mention, you must have liked the over to begin with in order to add it to the parlay.  I would make a $300 (still gives you 5-1) to $550 (maximum) bet on the under.

If it was a 3 or 4-teamer then I would definitely consider hedging it for 50%.

my question would be... why would you even consider not hedging for 1 second?  unless you are already wealthy, in which case i wouldn't understand why you would make the thread...


i think if you want to understand why i say that... don't hedge your bet... end up winning NOTHING from a WINNING 9-TEAM PARLAY... and they see how pissed off you are at yourself when the 10th team loses...

this is obvious, man!  of course you fucking hedge it!

your approach should be this... you no longer have a 10 team parlay with 1 game remaining... you have a 9-team winning parlay... you were outrageously lucky to hit 9 out of 9... don't let that money go down the toilet... going 9-1 and winning nothing could haunt you for a long long time...
