he has got to be the stupidest football player I have ever seen. And the head coach is the stupidest head coach I have ever seen in the NFL. They are an embarrassment. Shit like this makes one wonder if these games really are on the up &amp; up.

i agree completely.  marshall is an idiot but that&#x27;s pretty well established.  sparano may be the most under the radar stupid coach in the league.  it&#x27;s rare to watch a miami game without seeing a few amazingly stupid decisions by that coaching staff.

I thought that most of you would be happy because it avoided the moose. I was on Miami and lost $100.

Just to play devil's advocate, although it was dumb, Marshall called the TO to avoid the false start penalty. As for him cramping up (after his 130 yard+performance), it looked legit and it's unfortunate that time ran off the clock and they didn't get a couple more shots at the moose. In all fairness though, they knew they had lost the game because they had no TOs and there was next to no time left in the game. I am pretty sure the magic number or +/-7 wasn't dancing around their heads like it was ours.

robby, miami got the ball back with over 2:30 left, a timeout and the 2 minute warning. it's unlikely they'd win in that situation but not impossible and not the time to quit in the first game of the season at home (henne had no urgency at all). at worst, you try to score to practice the two minute drill for later in the season.

as for marshall i'm not saying he didn't get a cramp, but he just didn't make much of an effort to get off. but the timeout was inexcusable. first, once he moved, it was a false start and should have been called. the timeout should have been rejected. but it's stupid in any case because the 5 yards don't mean anywhere near as much as your last timeout in a 2 minute drill. you'd never trade 5 yards for a timeout in that situation. pop warner kids would know better. not marshall though.

for the record, i didn't bet this game, i just have to comment about such stupidity by coaches and players, even though we see it every week.

When I was talking about that they had accepted defeat, I was referring to the last 30-40 sec of the game, after Marshall went down. Nonetheless it was a disappointing performance overall. It was obvious that the dolphin players were ridiculously out of shape.
