#2 Posted: 9/12/2011 11:03:26 AM agree. remember the shutout new england threw at them in the last game of the regular season? i think new england will do the same thing. i think the defense will play better than expected. little concerned about the secondary, but i think new england will dominate and win by a lot in this one.

I'll either sit this game out or put an average size bet on Miami. You don't have to bet the game just b/c it's on Monday night. I bet to make money, not for entertainment. |

#12 Posted: 9/12/2011 11:37:31 AM no so fast. If Pats were playing anyone else i would agree. I am not a fins fan. But they are rivals and they play tough against each other. Take fins with the points. Safer play

#15 Posted: 9/12/2011 11:44:20 AM A few things about this thread....
1) Truly one of the worse write ups I've ever seen.
2) I'm a professional sports better and will be pretty large on the Pats team total tonight. To say just because you have a "public" play makes you an amateur better is one of the silliest things I've ever seen.
3) I've seen 3 different people in this thread say that the Patriots and Dolphins always have close games. The Pats punished the Dolphins by over 30 points TWICE last year.

#16 Posted: 9/12/2011 11:46:28 AM The patriots take down the fins tonight. Yes, the fish have played the patriots well in the past, divisional game blah blah blah....how about last year? The patriots beat the fish a combined 79-21, including a 41-14 rout on MNF last october.
The patriots O-line is banged up with vollmer out, so if Cameron Wake and co can get to brady early the fins MIGHT have a chance at disrupting the patriots offense. Thats a big might considering the weapons they have on offense. Ochocinco, welker, branch, gronk, never before has brady had so many weapons.....In 2007 when the patriots went 16-0, who was the patriots WR3? Julian edelman who was a rookie at the time. Not to mention they have shored up their D-line, which has yet to be proven, but none the less anticipate much improvement.
As far as the fish as concerned, are you telling me they are going to establish the clock and control the momentum with reggie bush behind the feature back??? C'mon NOW!

Having a public play doesn't mean you don't know what you're doing.... having public plays on every game you play, does mean you don't have a clue. Most of these people on NE tonight I suspect pound public plays and nothing else. |

So you are confident that the Patriots would cover the spread at -7?
I, too, have done some capping on this game and I like the Pats, but I worry that they may fail to cover, given the sheer number of surprise wins by dogs yesterday.
One of my wins yesterday that saved my behind was by shaving a half-point from the -7 to -6.5 Cardinals bet, so I'll do the same tonight if the Pats' line stays at -7.
Line moves are now moving down at -7, so the line moves could conceivably drop to -6.5... which may show that sharp money may be going onto the fish.
But as good Reggie is, (I'll NEVER use his last name, as I have a horrible hangover from that fugly, STUPID ex-president by that name), I cannot see how he'd make much of a difference, as the Pats' D could easily target him, throttling him, given that Henne's passing game is more likely than not to not be a threat.
I'm thinking of doing a parlay of Miami ML and Denver -3... that might be the safest way of getting a good payout? Still capping...
