It's about time. Did reasonably well last year, but struggled in a few areas. Going to try and focus in on the strengths rather than "limit the plays" and "find value"....which just seem so cliche in this forum.
Green Bay Packers -4 (2.2 to win 2)
The Super Bowl winner has certainly dominated ATS since the NFL introduced the "Thursday Kickoff" game six years ago. The only defending champion NOT to cover has been the Steelers vs. Titans a few years back. In this game however, I LOVE the HEALTHY Packers to be as crisp and on point as they have ever been. The Packers ranked 5th against the pass last season...which is obviously what the Saints prefer to do. They were also #2 in points allowed per game. I like what the Saints have on the offensive line to try and limit the intense pass rush the Packers can bring...but with a VERY SOLID defensive backfield, I really can't see a huge game from Drew Brees. The Saints are going to want to rush the ball with Mark Ingram/Darren Sproles/Pierre Thomas...but if they get behind early it could prove to be a long night.
Prediction: Green Bay 27 New Orleans 17
