The Rams starters are supposed to play the entire first half, Titans starters 20 or so plays. Steven Jackson and WR Avery will make their preseason debuts tonight for the rams, while CJ is still in a contract holdout. Rams are at home and coming off a high energy performance versus the Colts. Titans have a new coach and a new qb.... Can someone convince me not to bet all my extra cash ($200) on this one?

The titans were 6-10 last year.. Last years regular season does not have much to do with tonights game however...
yeah it does when 1 team upgraded in plenty of positions and the other team didnt. the titans problems last year was at the qb position and lb position. titans have 3 very good cbs, young athletic and fast lbs, improved dl, improved 1 and 2 qb, the t.e's are solid and they upgraded on defensive coordinator.
the rams added who?sims walker and cadillac williams i think?

Both teams have some pretty solid additions... But like "trying2makeabuk" said the Titans filled the positions they needed to fill. Hasselbeck is gonna be a solid qb for the titans once he gets into that offense.

They have Sam Bradford coming off of his offensive rookie of the year performance last season. I don't see him getting worse in season 2. Also, the Titans picked up a washed up, and bad backed, Matt Hasselback, but he has played the Rams alot haveing been Seattles QB for so long. The Rams won 1 game 2 years ago, then were one game from the playoffs last year, I believe their stock is on the rise. The Titans alternativley have been in a downward spiral for the last few years. 2 teams moving in opposite directions, IMO.

Also, Spagnuolo is 7-2 SU in the preseason since becoming head coach of the Rams. Some coaches and organizations do more to win in pre-season than others.

ok obviously you arent going to allow yourself to be convinced on this game but i will say a few things 2nd year qb's usually struggle especially ones that have to learn a new system matt hasselbeck isnt washed up, he just didnt have any weapons in seattle. kenny britt/washington/hawkins/cj/jared cook is a major upgrade over seattle last year when you say they were one game away from the playoffs isnt sayin much, they played in the worst division in football. so 7-9 isnt that much better than 6-10 from a tougher division
and moving in opposite directions?the titans brought in a new headcoach and drafted Jake Locker. the same jake locker that was a better prospect than sam bradford last year and he wouldve been drafted in front of sam too.
enjoy the game
and good to me

Allright gents, I'm off to lay my bet at the Cal-Neva, and then go to work. I'm still sold on STL -3, but thanks for the opinions. I will be working all through the game, so anyone who will be watching and rooting for the Rams, cheer extra hard for me!
