Miami avg 101 points a game so that means -29.5 = 71.5...This means Mendenhall only needs 42 rushing yards for this prop to win

You subtracted 29.5 twice.  Mendenhall would need over 71.5 yards to win that prop if the Heat were to score their average of 101.

Once again your math would seem to be incorrect, unless I am incorrectly reading these props.  If Lebron were to score 30 points, Steelers would have to score over 22.5, which is far from a given.  Once again, you are subtracting twice.

Yes, within 29.5 yards of however many points the Heat get.  If they get their average, which is 101, you would need over 71.5 yards.  If this still doesn't make sense, I don't know what to tell you.

Wade average 25 - 3.5 = 21.5... Rogers compelte 71% of passes indoors so this one is not a lock but good be good value on Rodgers?

be very careful with these props, the clippers play no defense and all of miamis points come from lebron and wade.

This would mean he would need 42 + the additional 29.5 the prop adds on to equal Miamis total.

MrTuttle05 : There is no subtracting twice. I am just subtracting when the prop says to and adding when the prop says to. 

Lebron Avg 26.5 a game but lets say he gets 30 the PROP subtracts -7.5 which = 22.5...This means the steelers only have to score 15 BECAUSE THE PROP THEN ADDS 7.5 to whatever they score giving them 15 + 7.5 or  22.5 which would tie if Lebron scored on average.

Before this MrTuttle05 makes me think I am crazy please tel him and me I am reading these props right regarding the adding and subtracting points. MrTuttle05 seems to only see the subtraction portion and is forgetting the addition portion.

I think this may be a pointless argument, and I highly suggest if you are unable to understand the prop that you do not bet it.  You are clearly reading the line incorrectly.  For example, using your logic, this would be the interpretation of the game line tomorrow:

Since Green Bay is 3 point favorites, if they score 24 points, 24-3=21.  And then since Pitt is 3 points dogs 21-3=18.  So Pitt would only have to score 18 points to cover if Green Bay scores 24.

Anyways, I'm done here.  Either I'm retarded and misinterpreting everything (which means I shouldn't post anymore), or you are not going to understand.  BOL with your plays, but I suggest correctly comprehending them first.

Then is say Miami Heat Points -29.5. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? It means however many Miami scores -29.5 right?

Ok then it says RASHARD MENDENHALL (PIT) RUSHING YARDS +29.5 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? It means how ever many rushing yards MENDENHALL runs for +29.5 right?

Then you take the 2 totals and answer the question to the prop WHO WILL HAVE MORE?

This argument is making me think I am crazy when it seems like everything is explained in clear English? Not sure what I am not understanding or if as I think I am understanding everything 100% and this guy is just throwing me off? This is not like a sports bet where its the same on both sides like his example above.

Boss, I think you are off

If Miami scores 101, then Mendenhall would have to rush for over 71.5 yards.

101-29.5=71.5

If Lebron scores 30, then Pittsburgh would have to score over 22.5

30-7.5=22.5

Not 15.

It's no different then regular game spreads.

Yes, exactly what it means.

So say Miami scores 101 points.

Mendenhall rushes for 50 yards.  50+29.5 = 79.5 which results in a loss.

Now lets say Miami scores 101, and Mendenhall gets 72 yards rushing.

72+29.5=101.5 which would result in a win.

No.  What you do is take the amount you were going to bet, then -x amount from your bankroll.  This will ultimately be the end result if you play these the way you think that you are interpreting them correctly.

DUDE... just listen to me

If a line reads:     Packers -2.5 vs Steelers +2.5

And the final score is: 24-20 Packers, the PACKERS WIN the bet.

By your thinking... it would then be 24-2.5=21.5 VS 20+2.5=22.5

YOU DONT ADD AND SUBTRACT POINTS.  YOU GET ONE SIDE.... and get that number added or subtracted to it.

Have you ever made a wager before?
