First of all let me say that I have been a behind the scenes lurker for almost 10 years now. I do not post because I admit I am a guy that looks at other people's picks for advice.  Hell,  I remember looking at Vanzack's picks when he joined back in 2001.

Anyway, this is my first post because I need some good advice now.  After about 10 crown and cokes yesterday I apparently put together a crazy 8 team parlay in the NFL and the 7th game hit last night with Green Bay.  I forgot all about it until I just logged into my off-shore account.  In this apparent drunken stupor I bought Minnesota up to + 11 1/2 at - 180.   If it hits, then I am $5,000 richer for it.

Should I let this fucker ride or should I hedge it or even better should I try to middle it?

dude, just bet bears at -6.    u can hit both bets w/ the middle of 5 points.

If you remember my post from 2001, you should also remember my advice on hedging.

So these are the only reasons to hedge (and dont let yourself ever get in to this position again in the future):

1.  Utility.  Google it if you dont know what it means with regards to finance.

2.  Something has changed in the game or the line.

Thats it. 

You are going to get lots of people who claim to have a crystal ball and tell you the future.   The best thing for you to do is to never let yourself back in to this situation, and ride it out unless 1 or 2 applies.

I'm leaning Bears -7 simply because they have something to play for.....Vikings, no matter who they play, are stupid to tear it up tonight and risk serious injury that could ruin thier next season.....They are already out of it.....Sooo,,,,Although I don't see a blowout I do see the Bears putting forth more of a team effort than the Vikings.....If I were the Vikings I would be playing second and third string players to not risk my money players.

I hear you but you need to re-read my post.  I made this bet after about 10 crown and cokes and did not realize at the time that tonights game was being played in a blizzard.  I am now drinking more crown and cokes and think I am going to go for the middle.  Fuck it!  Hell by the time this is all over I will probably lose money on this shitfest after I make a halftime bet!

How much did you put on the original parlay...$25 bucks if so then I would put $250 on Bears -6.. I like those odds.. thats a 5 point swing.. Good Luck dude I hit a 7 teamer last night that I put 20 on and won $1500...

  That is a pretty funny response "Shrewdie"!  I still say you need a new name ass clown.  I am sure after my halftime bet that I will probably find a way to turn this sure thing into a money loser.  I will check back in at hafltime to get your wisdom on what the halftime bet should be and then go opposite of it!

this is very possibly the most ridiculous post i have ever seen on this site... a guy who supposedly has never posted, but observed for 10 years... but then gets infuriated when he doesn't get a response to his one and only post after 3 hours, regarding advice that he shouldn't even need to ask for in the first place...
