Well Wk14 has already started off ROUGH, with a HUGE
in the Colts game... But were gonna Bounce back BIG TIME this Sunday!!!
Season record: 57-38-2 YTD
Week 14 Winners:
Minnesota +3 vs NYG / Under 43: This game is very interesting to me, as I’m in NY so all my friends who are Giants fans are claiming the G-Men “roll” and “blow em out!” but I just don’t see it happening. The Vikings have been playing MUCH better under Frazier, realistically, they’re just “playing” under Frazier, whereas it appeared that they “quit playing” under Childress. I expect both teams to attempt to ‘establish the running game’ early on in this contest. Both teams have really solid Run-D’s so I could see a decent amount of 3rd n Longs, resulting in a lot of stalled drives, a lot of punts, and a lot of FG attempts. I’m actually expecting Tarvarris Jackson to get ‘atleast’ 2-3 Qrtrs worth of snaps, despite if Favre plays or not. Jackson has been seeing a HUGE increase in snaps during practice, so I fully expect him to be ready to manage this offense and I expect him to be successful at it. Whether Favre or Jackson is under center, I expect both QBs to be handing the ball off VERY often to Adrian Peterson. The Giants have also been having success rushing the ball lately with Jacobs and Bradshaw being a solid 1-2 punch, and I expect them to continue to pound the rock against Minnesota, despite their ‘elite’ rush defense. At the end of the day, this Minnesota team has underachieved all season long but appears to finally be playing solid football and Leslie Frazier has them playing ALL 60 minutes, so when you couple that with their Talent level, plus the Home-field advantage, I’ll take the Vikings Winning a Low-Scoring affair 20-13. (Laying 2-Units on Minn+3 / Laying 1-Unit on Under 43)
Denver -4 @ Arizona: It seems like every other week, an NFL Head Coach is getting canned… With that said, I didn’t jump on board the Dallas train when Wade was fired, but I did jump onto Minnesota when Chilly got fired, and I’m jumping onboard here now that Josh McD’s been fired… This Denver team does have some talented skill players, with Orton developing into a pretty good QB, while his WR Corp may not be “household names”, they sure do get it done, with Veteran WR Brandon Lloyd having a Pro-Bowl caliber season is leading the way, and their Running game has Knowshon Moreno, who is supremely talented, hes just oft-injured but appears to be healthy now. This Denver team should definitely be able to score on Arizona, while the Cardinals rank in the Bottom 3 in almost every single important Defensive Category. Arizona is a COMPLETE mess right now! Only a week n a half after Derek Anderson’s very public blow-up, he is not starting, and Rookie QB John Skelton is slated to start this week. The Arizona passing game has already been a mess, now it only appears to be getting messier, plus the running game hasn’t been much better… When you add it all up, this Arizona team is a COMPLETE MESS! Typically, coming off 2 losses to 2 division opponents, I’d consider Arizona “in a good spot” but I just cant imagine putting my money on a team this bad, with a Rookie QB making his NFL Debut, who already wasn’t getting any playing time, stuck behind a God-AWFUL QB! Can you imagine how bad Skelton is if he couldn’t get any snaps behind DAnderson!? The Broncos are a VERY Proud franchise and they will not quit on their season, Im expecting them to play VERY HARD for their New Head Coach! (Laying 1-Unit)
Chicago +3 vs New England / Under 38: This game “should be” a great football game. The Patriots said immediately after their blowout of the NYJs that “next week’s another huge game” for them. Brian Urlacher came out and said “were supposed to win this game bc were at Home” and that everyone talked about the Eagles like they were the “best team” when they went into Chicago but the Bears still Won that game. The weather is supposed to be ridiculous… Half foot of snow, 40 mph winds, so I expect both teams to lean on the run a bit more than usual. I don’t expect either team to completely abandon the passing game, but I’d be surprised if either QB went over 250 passing yards. Cutler has been the x-factor for the Bears, when he has a good game, they usually win, and New Englands pass-defense isn’t exactly a ‘shutdown’ defense so Cutler should have some success through the air on Sunday. NE has a young secondary and I could see them struggling in the snow and maybe allowing a broken play or blown coverage. Due to the inclimate weather conditions, this game “should be” a hard faught, defensive battle and with that said, I’ll take the team with one of the best and toughest defenses, getting 3 Pts @ Home. Im expecting a 16-13 type of game… (Laying 1-Unit on Chi / Laying 1-Unit on Under 38)
