After joining covers right before week 1 of the NFL season, I have had a couple pretty good weeks.
Week 1 = 5-1 Week 2 = 3-0
Normally I like to wait until a couple days before Sunday to make my picks for the week but I saw a couple that I had to take. I think that the lines will get bigger as the week progresses.
So my locked in picks for Week 3 so far are :
New England - 12.5 Cincinnati -3 Detroit +10.5 (i dont know if this one will move but my eyes lit up when i saw it)
I will write about these games tonight and may have more before Sunday.
Good Luck everyone!

I dont think that Minnesota could beat my high school team right now by double digits... just in my opinion... they look awful and i dont see that turning around in a week.

Starting with New England ... Buffalo has surprisingly played New England tough over the last couple of years. My rationale for this is pretty simple. They just lost to New York. They will go out and make a statement that they are still the best team in the division. Green Bay just laid the wood to Buffalo. They are really hurting on defense and i see no reason why New England will not put up over 30 at home. New England wins 38-10

A couple short write ups for these games.

Detroit i kind of stated my case above but they are a scrappy group. They will stay in games. QB doesnt matter... they will run the ball with Best and try to keep AP off the field as much as possible. Minnesota has shown me nothing that says that they can blow ANYONE out... AP will get his yards, but i think that detroit can keep it close by the mistakes that Favre will make on offense. Everyone says that detroits secondary is so weak, but when there are no receivers to take advantage of it, shouldnt be a huge factor.

Cincinnati will cover because Jimmy Clausen is making his first start, too much pressure will be put on him, as the carolina run game has been obsolete, and their defense is not very good either. Not a good combination to have around your first start in the NFL. Cincy's defense should keep everything in check enough to win by at least 4.

see, i respectfully disagree... i think that oddsmakers know it is early in the season and betters are thinking "the vikings will show up eventually, they cant be this bad." hmm theyre playing the lowly lions of last year and this is their break out game.
But i actually think the vikings are this bad... but hey thats why there are 2 sides to every bet... i have been wrong before and will be wrong again... good luck!!

Im not so sure about public perception as much as a realization that these two teams are going in opposite directions. Minnesota is going down from last year, where as Detroit is showing an ability to look competent and compete. But like ive said, ive been wrong before and i will be wrong again.

det does allow alot of points but they also put up alot and that minny defense has yet to show me they can stop anyone yet. cashed last 2 times on det ATS so i won't be stopping. small bet on det ML
