Didn't previous year's Super Bowl winners went 7-1-1 ATS in last 9 years in the opening game of next season, SLD? i remembered you posted the pick on Steelers last year.
Best of luck this season, SLD!

Yeah...Europa...I'm going against that trend on this one...thinking that MINN won't have 5 turn overs and that this one will be a very close game...just like the last year's Conference Championship. I do have a bias toward Favre...but you should never count him out on prime time:)

Ha, i had MIN +4.5 in Covers NFL Contest as well. Vikes are 4-0 ats in Super Dome, a trend play for me, it's not a real money bet but i like Vikes here. Probably i will get real actions after 4 or 5 weeks. Hope you win tonight, SLD!

I am riding the Vikings tonight also as I hope they play ball control. If they do this game will be decided late in the 4th. The points are an added bonus.
GL everyone and nice to see you back SLD

Isn't this the best time of the year

Sportsladyd - I am SHOCKED to see you on Minn +5. On the other side on this one but good-luck still. I can see your love for Brett Favre shall never fade no matter how many false retirements he comes back from.
I sincerely think some people are thinking "too sharp" already in week 1. I mean Adrian Peterson has come out with his "Guarantee" that Minny will win SU in New Orleans. Give me a break? This is just gonna add fuel to the defending Super Bowl Champs. I can see AP having a very strong game but the Vikings won't be able to stop the constant pusing offence of the Saints tonight.
The Vikings and Brett will probably play .500 football to begin the NFL season and I would not be surprised at all if they are 2-2 or even 3-3 4-6 weeks into the season. I would be SHOCKED to see the saints at .500 after 6 weeks ESPECIALLY with the EASY schedule they have to start this year.
The Saints have tons of break after this week too because they are playing tonight (thursday) and then they don't play again until next week's Monday Nighter IN San Fran. Tons of rest time. I can see them going all out tonight to get the victory and in passing also cover ATS. Minny can afford to lose this game and then go home next week and play early Sunday morning against a tough defensive, wildcat team in the Miami Dolphins.
I really feel that people who want to back Minny should really wait until week 2 to unload but I fully expect them to be a .500 team to START the NFL season.

Sportsladyd, I was just thinking about 5 minutes ago that it was time to hear from you. Good luck this year, going with the Saints and the over in a teaser, it looked so good I went back and bet it again. We could both win.
