I know a lot of you dont like to read messages, you just spout off based on the title (as I saw was evident by the dumbasses who didnt bother reading my peyton manning post) - but read the damn thing before you embarass yourself.
Patriots got caught "spying". We all know that. The rule stated that you could not videotape a team in order to gain a competitive advantage in the game being played.
Belichick only taped teams in which he knew they would see them again or if he thought they might see them in the postseason. He did not use the tapes in the game being played and therefore, technically had found a loophole.
But that's ok, he was running around the rules, NFL didnt like it & fines/penalties were put in. Understandable & deserved.
But the majority of you morons on this board (mainly Steelers fans), seem to think the Patriots were the first team to even try this. Go search through yahoo or google, your jaw will drop at how many head coaches have said they either used a similar approach or the same approach. Mike Shanahan has been mentioned by numerous head coaches as another one who used this advantage.
Does this mean the Broncos' back-to-back titles are tainted? Of course not. Stop whining about the Patriots. Check your jealousy at the door.
In 20 years, when people look at the history of the Super Bowl, they're going to make these 3 obvious statements:
1970s: Pittsburgh Steelers were the team of the decade
1990s: Dallas Cowboys were the team of the decade
2000s: New England Patriots were the team of the decade
And there is LITERALLY nothing any of you can do to prevent this from happening.
Go Pats
