Ok we all saw yesterdays game and it's clear how much Peyton means to his team. There are other players in the game who have had FANTASTIC seasons.
-Rivers leading the Chargers the last 9 games playing great with awesome stats. -Chris Johnson who MAY break 2000 rush yds -Brett Favre/Drew Brees tailed off of late but both have had good years.
But Peyton does more then
any player in the game. He is pretty much a second coach out there and
knows exactly what to do under any game situation Multiple times
this year I have seen him rush his team to the line to prevent the
opponent from making the defensive subsitution they want. You know what
happens on the next play. He is the smartest player in the history of the game
Yes he has talent on his team, but Peyton does more with less then any player in the game and it impossible to argue that any one player is more valuable to his team then him. But if anyone wants to argue for another player, I would love to hear it.
There should be no debate.

Every one of these statements is wrong, or something that you simply can't make. How do you know he is the smartest to ever play the game? He does more with less than any other player???
I'm not here to pick a fight, but rather to debate. How is Manning more valuable that Rivers? Or Brees? Or Big Ben? Or Brady? What do you think would happen if the Eagles would take out McNabb against a team of the Jets' caliber that were in a must win situation? What if the Cowboys lost Romo?
He does more with less? How do you figure this? Reggie Wayne is one of the best receivers in the league, and his line is always one of the best. Throw in Dallas Clark, the maturation of Anthony Gonzales, Donald Brown, and Addai... the guy doesn't exactly have it rough dude.
How does he do more than any player in the game? That doesn't even make sense bro. How would you support that statement?
Don't get me wrong. I know Manning is a Hell of a quarterback. But I just don't think he's the God that some people portray him to be. And to be honest his mobility skills and the ability to improvise in tough situations is somewhat lacking. My Steelers proved that in '05. If you get enough pressure on him, he'll fold. Unlike Big Ben. Unlike Brady. Unlike Romo. My only point is that he does have faults. Also, I've never seen him pissed. Can he get mad? Or is he too engrossed in being the guy that makes everyone happy at all times? My point is that if he has to scream at an offensive lineman that's not doing his job, could he do it? I just think he's too nice. That said, I don't watch him every Sunday, so I can't speak intelligently on this topic. But I do watch alot of football and highlights. And I don't ever remember him showing great leadership skills in tough times. Not only that, there have been players and fans that have already said what I am saying here.
Besides, I think the MVP voting is pretty stupid, and, for the most part, a popularity contest. Just like the Pro Bowl. And Manning winning it last year just confirms this. See my other thread on the MVP topic I recently posted.

"but Peyton does more with less then any player in the game"
Yeah...reggie wayne, dallas clark, j. addai, they are all scrubs....couldn't start on any other team...
I do agree with you though. You say he is a second coach. I disagree. I have been saying for a while that Peyton is, "THE COACH" of the team. Well, certainly re: the offense. He just bounces ideas off of tom moore.
Too bad he will never go undefeated. I am sure he will regret that milestone.

Peyton Manning could make me a legit WR. He is that good. Collie, Garcon, etc. Just a couple names that would be scrubs on any other team. He makes them respectable.

When he's 80 sitting on his front porch telling his grand children..i could have had a perfect 19-0 season but we gave the game a way to some rookie QB...i can't remember his name now..

No doubt...Especially when that run and possible SB berth could have sealed the deal between him and Brady once and for all. It's gotta be rattlin' around that forehead of his to think that no matter how long and how good he is with his future with the Colts, he will NEVER GO UNDEFEATED because they will yank him out of the game to protect him...

Do you fucking watch the games? We all saw what the pats did without Brady last year, they're gonna win the same amount of games. We saw what the Colts did when Peyton was out of the game, did they even get a first down? The man is the MVP and he made Wayne and Marvin Harrison just like he will make Addai, Collie and Garcon into better WRS that if they ever leave Indy for free agency will get bigger contracts than they would normally.
How you can debate any of those statements that Ranges man is a joke.

That statement just proved you don't know jack shit about football. It's funny you bring up Brady and Big Ben, guys that won their Super bowls because of their def. Clearly you have a hate on for Peyton, which is just fucking pathetic. If you don't see how Peyton was MVP last year is a fucking joke, and if you don't see how he is MVP this year, is a bigger joke. Have fun see your superbowl champion steelers golf. Talk about folding, you team won the superbowl and then couldnt even make the playoffs the next year. Pathetic.

Absolutely the most hilarious post I've seen in a while. This should be nominated for post of the year for its pure stupidity. Is there some kind of contest for dumbest post of the year and you're trying to make the cutoff? Kind of like cops towards the end of the month trying to make quota on tickets written?
Seriously, if you need an explanation as to why some think he's the smartest QB, than you either never watch anythign outside of the Steelers, or you're just plain dumb.
