They are winning a tight game against a team who is giving their all to knock off the undefeated 2009 COLTS.

If I were a member of the Jet's organization I would tell them we don't deserve this win against the scrubby 3rd teamer towel tossers.

I think it was more about not getting hurt then resting them. Who to say Peyton does not tear his ACL, brake a bone, or sprained his thorwing shoulder? Who is to say tha was not going to happen? Untill you can give me a leigit answer for it, then I will agree with you.

     It's terrible.  What about the fans too?  You don't think they wanted to see a 16-0 season?  This is pure stupidity.  Didn't they learn anything from '05?  They were the favorite to win the SB after getting off to a 13-0 start.  Then they started this shit in week 15 or 16.  When it came time to play the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs, alot of those guys hadn't played in a meaningful game situation in like a month.  And they lost.  When will they learn?  You have to keep sharp. 

     And they're doing it again.  So the last time Peyton Manning and co. played a "real game" was the 20th.  If they do the same again in week 17, they will go until January 16/17 until they play their first playoff game.  Nearly a month later.  Then they'll have to turn on a switch.  Don't be shocked when they can't do it. 

     I remember watching pregame in Jan of '06 before the Pit/Ind game.  I heard people on ESPN saying, without question, that the Colts were going to DESTROY the Steelers.  Uh oh.

     Final:  Steelers 21, Colts 18

     Of course at this point we have no idea of who the Colts will play in round one, but I would fade them if I was betting.  I'm sure they'll be favorites, and I think there's a good chance, depending on who they play, that they will go down.  History often repeats itself my friends. 

     The fans are pissed.  The players are pissed.  The press is aghast.  All I can say is let this be a lesson.  Don't bet the Colts late in the season if they have nothing or little to play for.  It really is horrible.  My buddy (a Brown's fan) was so pissed while watching it.  He had no money on it.  No reason to be pissed, other than the fact that it was inexcuseable.  It's bad for the NFL.

     It was bad for my Steelers too. 

Im a 49er fan and I didnt have any money on the Colts but I am too pissed that they didnt go for a perfect season.

My thoughts are maybe-

they didnt want to see Pitt in the playoffs or they didnt want the pressure they would have had going into the SB undefeated like the Pats had.

It is really just disapointing really. Why not continue firing on all cylinders and keep the momentum rolling? Why not excite fans of the NFL not just the Colts fans but every fan of football! Who doesnt remember the Pats going undefeated and losing to the NYG? Why not be the team that goes undefeated and beats the SB opponent? That is history that they blew and for what? To keep a crappy Pitt team out? Keep players from getting hurt? I think it is BS all the coaching staff did was piss off players and fans.

 I cant wait for the Colts to lose the first round and then watch Manning pull a Cutler and get the hell out of there!
