CHARGERS KICKED OFF THEIR DECEMBER WINNING STREAK GOING BACK TO 12/306 BEATING BUFFALO 24-21 AND HAVEN'T LOST SINCE. THEIR MOST RECENT MATCHUP WITH TENN WAS IN 12/9/07 @ TENN AND WON 23-17 IN OVERTIME.

WE SAW THE COWBOYS ENDED THEIR DECEMBER MISERY 5-10 L15 LAST THURSDAY AGAINST THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFC BASE ON W/L RECORD AND YES - I HAD BOYS ML & +PTS POSTED.

This year, San Diego enters Week 15 with an eight-game winning streak. If San Diego defeats visiting Cincinnati on Sunday, the Chargers will virtually wrap up the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs.

My main key take is....16-0 in December and getting +pts. How is that not juicy?

I am playing devil's advocate here, how did you bet against the losing streak of Dallas but go big lean on San Diego's streak in December? You went against the streak on Dallas but go for the streak on San Diego here, you are not contradicted yourself, are you?

btw, i like SD. 

No way am I contradicting myself here....I look at matchups, trends, and I think outside the box. I cap these games with an open mind and I have a system play week to week that I go by. Lol, nothing is written down, it's all logged in memory base on many yrs of fuckups in the past and I am a very fast learner,,,if not, it's going to get very expensive.

IMO..if you look at every game through 1 angle only, you are doom in sportsbetting. What I saw with the boys and what I am seeing now with the Chargers are 2 different things, even though I bet on the boys to end their losing streak last Thurs. and riding the Chargers to continue their winning streak this Thurs. Trends, trends, trends and it changes week to week.

You called it contradicting...I call it "situational play".

Big leans right now on Chargers...unless there are some objections that make me make a U-turn.

What did you expect moneyline on a +3 dog? +155 or +165? 

Along those lines,,,yes and I've seen it higher than +165 in the past. This is a pretty big game for both teams so action will be heavier imo.

But the ML juice don't make me change my pick, it does determine how much more I put on it. Because it's only +140ish,,,I would consider putting a few more units on it just because.

Why you should choose SD:

1.  Great team in Dec.

2.  Beaten much better teams than Tenn

3.  Need to lock up their playoff spot

4.  etc, etc,

Then why are they favored?   

 Even Giants weren't favored against the skins.  Basically Tenn. is giving SD 6 points since they are playing at home.

Correction- why are they underdogs?  Why are they getting points?

tjohnsont - my take is, the wrong team is giving -pts here. This line is made to give us a brain fart and encourage ppl to overthink if anything else. If you take away the spread and cap the matchups, SD is playing much better football in Dec...and there's ppl out there imo who love to bet against the 16 games winning streak trend for the Chargers. In reality Chargers wrapped up the division when they beat the Bengals last week. 

Chargers played poorly at the start of the season and always finished strong. I am riding them cause that's how N. Turner has coach this team late in the season. I don't see the Chargers stepping on the brakes at all. They are playing at a very, very high level.

Correction, Chargers beat Bengals last week so it should be 17 consecutive December games, not 16.

The question you have to ask yourself is- is Vegas really playing games with you?  And if you think like that, does the general public think the same?  And if they are playing games, would they really want to risk it? 

Vegas wasn't playing with the line yesterday nor were they playing with the line for SF and Arizona. 

No one is gonna deny that SD is a better team etc but the line does not translate that.  Well, I'm not gonna say much more- you know where I am getting at. 

I personally don't think Vegas plays games- only we think that.

take that info for what its worth...... seems both teams are HOT, especially the offenses..... makes the over look real good to me.... SD is obviously the better team but not so clear cut with young under center..... jeff fisher is better coach than norv turner.... TEN is home and in must win situation..... SD has #2 seed just about wrapped up with wash @ home week 17..... with that said, i would take SD +3.5 and higher, and TEN 2.5 or lower...... but with both teams avg 30+ppg over the last 2-3 months the over seems like a no brainer

Well,,, we all have our own perception of what we think the line should be. I am not reading too much into the line on this game in particular. I am comfortable getting a +3 in this spot.

Why would you think this line should be a pick? Cause the public perception is,,,,Chargers a better team?

I think the line sits like that because they obviously know something we don't.  SD will come out to play but will not try too hard- thats what I think they are thinking.  Tenn might win this one- but then again thats what the line is somewhat saying- matter of how much.

This is my first season playing so I'm most likely wrong.  But I have looked at all the close games that interest me and the lines do seem to send messages. 

Wouldn't be suprised if 70%+ of people take SD- its too easy.  If you gave me -3 SD I would still take it.  But the line is giving me better than -3 so its gonna stop me in my tracks.
