THE REASON:
-------> yes i know the square pick is nyg, and yes i know b.lang has 30dimes on nyg tonight, but the favs got murdered this week going 3-11-1 (indy, phi, bal only favs to cover.....pit pushed), so i like this fav to hit...... also as i looked deeper into nyg woes and the skins so-called "success" lately i found that:
1. nyg started season 5-0 (vs was, dal, tb, kc, oak) going 4-0-1 vs the spread (i remember telling my buddy then that nyg was overrated)..... they then went on to lose 4 straight going 0-4 vs the spread.... however those 4 oppenents were n.o., az, phi, s.d. (all leading their respective divisions)..... nyg then beat atl with ryan/turner (34-31), lost to den (buzzsaw mon gm @ den), beat dallas (31-24), then lost to phi in a shootout
2. was has covered 5 straight but they were also dogs of 3.5, 11, 9.5, and 9pts while being favored by 1 vs oak..... granted they played those teams tough but lets get real, who gets up for the skins these days (nyg will cuz they need to win)..... skins D is good but theyre O is brutal, and the best team they beat this year was den @ home.....next best skins win was tb/oak/stl (take ur pick)
my point is, nyg seems to beat up on the 2nd tier nfl teams and lose to the upper echelon teams.... nyg has only had to close wins and that was a 3pt win vs atl and a 2pt win @ dal.... when they win they usually win by 7+..... nyg remaining schedule is car and @ min..... right now nyg is the only team chasing gb and dal for that 6th playoff spot.... if nyg loses tonight then the nfc playoff teams are set..... i dont see that happening just yet, playoff bracket wont be decided til nyg loses to min in wk 17..... nyg wins tonight and like i said before, when they win they usually win by 7+...... G-MEN get it done
