It's really only a matter of time before an NFL player is killed on the field.  One of these days a guy is going to get hit so hard and he's just not gonna get up.

The only thing that confuses me is they called "fair catch interference".  Did anyone see him signal a fair catch?  I didn't.  You still can't hit him way early like that, but it's not fair catch interference if he never signaled a fair catch, is it?  It's just catch interference, I think.  Not that it really changes anything.

seriously he could have killed smith.. luckily for wesley, smith got up

if vick gets jail time for dogfighting and plax gets jail for shooting himself.. the nfl better make a statement with this punishment as they always do

great job by the officials in containing the players

I get where you are coming from scal but when your opponent is laying still on the floor.. you have to show some compassion

maybe its just the way the game is now but this more based on his character than his job as an NFL player

it's not like this a widespread problem throughout the league.. its just certain team and players

you would never see this happen from a player on the giants/colts/patriots yada yada yada

just my opinion

Part of me is glad that the extracurricular didn't turn into a Pistons/Pacers type brawl on the football field...but part of me wishes Aquib Talib was able to get to Westley. 

I can't even begin to justify making that hit.

Scalabrine, I usually enjoy reading your posts, but I must disagree with you here. I don't remember anyone making excuses for Bertuzzi, what he did is borderline criminal and was a total cheap shot as well.

Regardless of color, a cheap shot is a cheap shot. If you throw one, you're a thug.
