"Good morning everybody and welcome to Week 9's edition of the SUCKER
BET brought to you by Tootsie Pop! For those of you who are unfamiliar
with the SUCKER BET, each week I identify the games where the public
seems to be
heavily favoring one side. Typically there are 3 or 4 choices each
week. From those games, I choose one unpopular pick as the SUCKER
BET. Last week was a big winner for the SUCKER BET bringing the season
tally to 4-4 ATS. Sorry I'm a little late posting the SUCKER BET this week. I've been busy celebrating a WORLD SERIES VICTORY! I was at the clinching Game 5 (part 1 & 2) and I was at the parade on Friday. My sleeping patterns are out of wack and I still can't get this smile of my face. I'm 32 years old and am just old enough to never remember a championship in this town. Not anymore!!!!! Congrats to all you Phillies fans out there....WE DID IT!!!! OK, this week it really comes down to 2 choices either I'm backing the Seahawks or the Dolphins. I feel better about the Dolphins. Everyone thinks they are going to get smoked by Denver because Denver is well rested and getting some players back from injury. But I like how things are shaping up for Miami. Dolphins are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Dolphins are 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Dolphins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Dolphins are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a bye week. Dolphins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC. Broncos are 1-8-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. Broncos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game. 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 vs. AFC. Broncos are 4-13-1 ATS in their last 18 home games. Broncos are 7-23-1 ATS in their last 31 games overall. Dolphins are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings. Underdog is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. The Dolphins are still slightly undervalued at this point. Pennington is playing better than anyone expected. Let's not forget how forgetable the Broncos defense has been. You could make a case that they are the worst performing defense in the league this year. The Bronco's offense you ask?.....Over the past 4 games, they've averaged 14.8 points. Jeff Saragin has the Broncos rated higher overall than the Broncos. There you have it, take the Fins +4. Best of luck to everyone this week and see you next week for Week 10's edition of the SUCKER BET, as always brought to you by the fine folksat Tootsie Pop!"
