I don't have any opinions about the totals, but I do like the Texans Sunday. Obviously the Lions are brutal. On the other side, you have a 1-4 team, but like you said they COULD be 3-2. Last week they should have beaten the Fins by more than 1. The week before they should have routed the Colts. They were close to upsetting the Jags. Shit, even against Tennesee I think they went to the red zone 6 times, only to turn the ball over on downs a couple times, miss a FG, throw a pick 6, and kick a couple FG's.
If they don't shoot themselves in the foot like they did against Indy, Jax, Tennesse, and Miami, this Texan team wins by 30.
I also locked in the Titans -6.5 -105. I caught my book snoozing bigtime. They offered Tennessee -7 +105 Monday afternoon. Usually on key numbers(3,7) they bang you out trying to buy a hook, but for some reason it was a traditional -10 for this hook, so I wound up with Tennessee -6.5 -105.
I'm looking at the Bengals +9.5 in the chance Palmer plays, but I don't think he is so I will pass.
Carolina -3 may be a play as the Saints are coming off three straight home games against a Carolina team that was just embarrassed.
I'm not really feeling this card.

I am thinking of buying off the KC under. It was just heard that LJ isnt playing. Croyle throwing even more could lead to many ints....which could mean either pick 6's or just great field position for Tenn. Hmm, it also makes me wonder how KC will score at all though. Ill be back before sunday if there is a cahnge

With you on Houston, young un. Last chance for them, though. They been costing me. Should have easily covered last week. Liking the Miami Ravens under, too.

Usually, my plays are against the public, but whenever I am on a play that the public is on, like Houston, I have to have a good reason as to why the line is the way it is.
For example, I was on the Dallas over of 50 last week despite it being a public play. But, I justified that by thinking, the linesmakers can't really make an nfl line much higher than 50. And also, who is going ot bet on the under of an Arizona/Dallas game? So of course the public %s are going to be in favor of the over.
This week, I look at it similarly. The texans have been a doormat since entering the league and they are 1-4 this year. You can't really make a 1-4 team a favorite by 10 or more points in the NFL. Along the same lines, who can possibly bet big money on this Detroit team, one of the worst teams I have seen in the past 5 years. So when the line comes out, people are eitehr going to bet Houston or lay off the game. That is why this is such a huge public play. I see a blowout happening
