Possible Virus on Covers / banner_unit.jsp trying to open file

This is the 2nd time this happened today.  The first time I did not mark the location.  The 2nd I did. 

I clicked on this link to go to the stats page for a player.

And as soon as I did my browser popped up a window stating "You have chose to open "banner_unit.jsp" and I had to the option to open or save.

This file appears to be coming from "ads.doclix.com".  All adds from this provider should IMMEDIATELY be taken down until this is resolved.

I, personally, am not getting anything. Perhaps CT can advise you further. But, for the time being, I would suggest running a full virus scan on your computer as it's possible it's coming from your end.

It is not on my end.  And I don't think you can re-create it by following the link as the banners seem to change unrelated to the page you navigate to.  There is code on at least one of the banners that when it gets splashed is trying to open a .jsp file.

Okee dokee. We'll have to wait until IT/CT looks into the issue then.

I am also getting ads being blocked as "malicious website" while at work, I believe it may be virus related as well. Here's the link that tripped up my filter:

I have gotten this virus twice while scrolling your website.  Don't know what i clicked on .

This is what my antivirus picked up both times

PWS:Win32/Fareit.gen!C

Trend Micro will flag these sites.  Most likely is a false positive because of sloppy code, but further research is needed.

I visited only this site last week and had a list a viruses pop up.

I had a virus a few months ago on 2 different occasions.  How do I know its covers well it was a brand new laptop.  Killed the 1st one it was some Trojan scareware where it take over your PC asking to DL a spyware program.  Killed it in safe mode and then went back to covers and got it again.  Last week I got the W32 BLASTER FAKE SCARE WARE WORM from covers. GOOGLE IT  This was a pain in the ass to get rid off.  It happened after I clicked on a tout thread.

9 viruses removed from Covers site.  Most common was Trojan horse.  Other was "Black Hole"  worm.    This started 30-35 days ago.  Glad I have anti virus protection. Hope it helps.

Yep you guys are full of Trojan Horse viruses. Got the AV Protection 2011 going here too. One of the worst on the web. C'mon guys.

thanks to covers, i had to spend hours reformatted my desktop and reinstalling windows.

We have not come across anything on Covers. However please post as much detail as you can, as we investigate everything. Every bit helps - Browser, Area of Site, Country you are viewing from, alerts from your spyware/virus software.
