#2 Posted: 9/4/2012 8:45:58 PM Considering you can only play each team once and I would rarely play a road team unless I have to.....
Without burning up the elite teams right away such as NE-GB-Philly-NO- i would venture to say the right team to play this week is Chicago. gl

#4 Posted: 9/4/2012 8:54:52 PM Only 3 real options:
Chi, Hou and Det
They are all good teams, at home; playing a shitty team, on the road. Plus, they are all non-division games.
In order of confidence:
Det, Hou, Chi. |

#5 Posted: 9/4/2012 8:57:20 PM Thanks vetdrm, same idea over here, I want to pick not one of the elite teams to use them in the middle of the season.
Thanks Yavapai. |

#10 Posted: 9/4/2012 9:56:31 PM Chicago, Houston, or New Orleans. I wouldn't trust the Detroit defense just yet

#11 Posted: 9/4/2012 11:31:59 PM I usually like to use home teams but I believe Philly is the right pick for a few reasons.
1. Their home schedule and overall schedule is brutal. @ Cleveland wk 1 and @ wk 3 Arizona look like the 2 easiest games on their schedule. Their home games are vs Baltimore, NYG, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Carolina, Cinci, and Washington. I don't see a easy game at all @ home..... or at least not until late in the season. The pool may be done by then.
2. Cleveland is real bad. Starting a rookie QB, #1 rookie RB coming off knee surgery, and Joe Haden possibly serving suspension.
3. Most importantly, how long will Vick last? he could be out by week 2..... then Philly is a sub .500 team. I'm not sure they are a playoff team anyway.
Their easiest game is week 1 and they are as healthy as they are going to get. |

#12 Posted: 9/5/2012 12:07:36 AM I've won some survivor pools in the past and I always just went with what I thought was the safest play on the board. I found trying to save teams for later resulted in there not being a later. With that said I would go Chicago or Houston. |

#17 Posted: 9/9/2012 3:30:40 AM I agree, use the good teams as you can, saving is pointless if your out. The object is to survive, remember.
also i agree with using philly now while their healthy and games get tough for them.Hell i'm taking em laying 8.5 in my ats contest. |
