Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm a happy camper if the Lions make the playoffs. I'm not even thinking Super Bowl. I'm just thinking Wild Card and if a few things bounce right(instead of last year where EVERYTHING bounced wrong) maybe a division title.

Look, not many people even gave the Lions a shot at a Wild Card because most of us, myself included, thought the Giants, Eagles, and Falcons would be much improved. Most people figured the two Wild Cards would come from the East and South.

Right now I really think the Lions could finish with a better record than all of these teams. I really think they take both from Chicago(as they should have done last season) and I think they split with G.B.(as they did last season). They get the AFC West in a crossover as well. Let's face it, the AFC West is not nearly as tough as the NFC North. They should go 3-1 against the AFC West.

This team is very capable of making the playoffs.

I have also noticed the Steeler douche bag that started this thread hasn't posted in forever. I guess he thought we were all mindless retards who are incapable of thinking for ourselves and just assume, like him, that the Steelers deserve to be in the playoffs every season.

I have said before, and ill say it again,i have nothing against the lions. they have improved very much. They look okay.But from what i have seen so far THIS SEASON Does'nt really tell me anything.. they beat 4 struggling teams.....I give credit where credit is do, and i will, if they go out here and smash the bears, or kill the packers i will definitly eat my words. but as of right now i dont see any reason to even compare them to the packers or patriots any superbowl contending team...I havent seen anything ! and to give a opening line of +7 to the Chicago Bears (5dimes) is nonsense, and disrespectful in my opinion.

and no i would not say that the bills are overrated...i dont see or hear anyone labeling them as a elite team, or a superbowl contender, even though they beat the pats. so thats that, im not a hater in anyway, like i said i give credit where credit is do. I know your all hyped up because this is the first real winning season the lions have had in a really really really long time....and im not tryin to take that away from you. they are a legit team(standard)honestly im glad the lions are doing better, all im saying is that this season SO FAR, I havent seen anything YET to make me say "hey, the lions are going to win there division", or "goin to the superbowl"

now if thats what you want me to say...the lions are going to win there division or the lions are going to the superbowl, NO, an NO. The lions are in my top 3 power rankings..once again NO. at least not yet.

i like the direction there goin in, and i do believe if they keep it up then they definitly will be contenders..they have potential.. yes calvin johnson is a BEAST, stafford is a possible up an coming elite QB, and the "D" is definitly forming.

as for the breakdown of victories over struggling teams...

chiefs- started out horrible, not only did the lions smash them, but the bills did as well.

vikings- i dont know whats hoing on here, the lead at halftime in every game except for 1. they have seasoned vets and weapons...just not clicking

bucs- are similar to detroit in my eyes, young building, making progress

cowboys- all i can say is that romo gave this one away.

like i said , there moving in the right direction. im happy for them., but i wouldnt claim a boxer is the champ, or say he is the best just because he beat 4 nobodies, i dont care if he knocked them out in the 1st round, put a contender in his face , and then we will see...

i think chicago will be your toughest match so far...

This reminds me of last week, after the bills beat the pats some people thought they would steam roll the bengals, forgetting the 4 interceptions... Brady threw.. had a close game with the bengals ,  alot due to the refs..but still close..

Now they think the Lions gonna beat the bears, forgetting the interceptions.. that Romo threw that brought them back...Dallas was exposing the Lions like crazy.. til after those turnovers..

Man this just really feels like dejavu..like im reliving last week .. hopefully the lions do win tho so that it doesnt seem that way..

Regardless of MNFbetween the bears and lions-- no matter who wins the packers are gonna win out of that division easily...
