NoWorries -- you cannot be serious about the Bible being one of the best and most accurate history books in the world. You do understand how the Bible was compiled and how many translations it has been through, right? There are lots of things I think you could call the Bible -- divine, spiritual, inspired, etc. -- but reliable and historically accurate is not one of them.

One thing you cannot argue is the Bible is the best and most accurate history book in the world. Even atheist history professors do a lot of teaching out of the Bible.
Huh? Historically accurate? How? The great flood that covered the ENTIRE EARTH wiht water? The earth was created in a week? No mention of dinosaurs, germ theory, physics, kangaroos, or even ice?

i haven't read the articles or looked at vanzack's videos but i plan to. i believe in God, which is to say that this is what my brain can grasp on the subject- we were created by something and whatever that something is, i define as God. i'm assuming that God is some sort of scientific phenomenon beyond my understanding, particularly because i don't have much of a science background. if my God turns out to be a particle that was ideitifned through a $10 billion microscope, or whatever, then i was sort of right. i won't pray to it, but i'll try to learn a little about it and be a little more informed tomorrow than i am today.

To be honest I dont think that guy is the right man to represent Christianity in this thread because clearly just by taking a look at his posting style you can tell he is not fully functioning upstairs, A four sentence post takes half a page. Hopefully some smarter Christian covers poster pops into this thread to offer a slightly more educated point of view.

without being negative, i think holdem would benefit greatly from several books giving him a much broader understanding of history, different religions and the history of religions. (as we all would, but some much more than others).

No, they cant, so in fact, even if scientists are the smartest people on this earth, in the grand scheme of things (knowledge out of all possible knowledge), they are quiet dumb....Nothing to brag on about....
