Oh really it means nothing what do you think the defense can keep giving up that kind of yardage and rely on turnovers or a team not getting in.Sooner or later put ur hand in the fire you will get burnt.

Dude it be different if they lost the game but they still won it and sooner or later if you think a team can give up 500 yds passing and 150 yds rushing and think it will keep being ok you will be a loser in gambling.

Are you talking about the Lions or Bears? "Giving up that kind of yardage." Please.

Lions have allowed 80 fewer passing yards per game, 11 fewer rushing yards per game. 

The Bears have 7 offensive TDs in 4 games. The Lions have 13. And btw, the Bears haven't faced a single top 10 defense.

Werker i was just saying what Cutler did to the Lions defense last year but they couldnt get in the endzone 44-61 for 602 yds but still won both games.Also you do realize that the Lions defnense gave up 450 yds last week correct.This is not personal i am jsut pointing out the Lions arent palying as good as everyone thinks they are right at the moment its hidden because a 2 coaches and ROYALLY JUST MY OPINION AND THIS IS WHAT HANDICAPPING IS

This is my point about opponents so ok you say they have faced no top 10 defense then you turn around and defend the lions defense which is given up 80 less yds a game passing lol OF COURSE I HOPE SO THE Bears have faced Rodgers,Brees,Newton and Ryan they have better given up more pass yds i mean jezzzuz look at the teams they have played christ i can make an arguement that the Bears defense is better right now.The Lions defense should be wayyyyyyyyy head and they are not

I love that you say of course the Bears got burned by those 4 QBs. The Lions passing attack is better than either the Panthers or Falcons easily. Get ready to be defending the Bears next week, saying "of course" they got burned by Rodgers, Brees, Newton, Ryan and Stafford. They have yet to face a top 10 defense, which the Lions are. And can't do much against bottom 10 defenses, which Panthers are. 

The Cowboys are the best defense that either team has faced (until the Bears face the Lions), and the Lions still put up 20 offensive points on them. That's tough to do against top defenses. 

Also, I'm well aware that the Lions gave up 450 yards last week. There's one thing I can say about that. The Cowboys are really good. The Bears are not. I would be shocked if Cutler has more than 250 yards and if the Lions do not force multiple turnovers.

Lions are a much better team.They are 4-0 They beat everyone they played They do not make the schedule. Not only that a sign of a good team is overcoming adversity being down to minn dall and winning on the road. Good teams find ways to beat bad teams The only concern is they are a young team playing on MNF at home with great expectations might be ready for a letdown (balt after beating pitt, buff after beating NE) and division game although they seem to be more mature than expected as seen in those comeback wins I hate giving points i am a dog player but will stay away from this game as i cannot trust chicago

I didnt say they got burned by those 4 QBs.I said of course their passing yds given up are going to be higher vs those 4 QBs than the 4 QBs and teams that the Lions.I mean theres no way that you can argue that those 4 Qbs are wayyyyyyyyy better than the QBs that the Lions faced is all i am saying.Correct??Jezzz the Detriot defnse stopped KC and Tampa wooohooo and really wernt very well vs Minn and got dominated Dalllas.

You're living in the past. This is the best Lions team in.....possibly ever, but at least like 40 years. Last year's games have absolutely nothing to do with this year's. This year's Lions teams is MUCH better. The Bears faced a really easy schedule last year, and gave the illusion that they were good. This year, they're even worse.

I'm a Lions fan here and I love seeing people doubt them. I have been reading it on Covers all season so far and I love it. Now it's threads being started by Steelers fans. Let me hear the excuses as to why they aren't doing so well and got their shit pushed in by Baltimore.

Even as bad as the Lions started out last year they were competative against most teams(almost always without Stafford) and even played the division champs tough and almost beat the eventual champs twice. What's Pittsburgh's excuse? This is what the Steerler fans have come to? Criticizing other teams because they are used to seeing them lose, and now these teams start out 4-0? I bet you think Buffalo is overated too?

I do agree the Bears were worse last year than their record indicated and do I agree that the Lions team is better than last year but I think the Bears are about the same as last year.Well gave you all the reasons why i am taking the Bears and you guys gave all the reasons why you like the Lions.So i guess we will watch the game monday and be back on here!!

Let me reiterate YDS do not = PTS  and if you are not scoring pts i'm going to be winning gambler not a loser.  You were the one who said Cutler torched the Detroit D but.........like i said torched usually equates to a huge win 48-3 something like the Lions torched the Chiefs this year.  Now the Chiefs were torched.

That a boy Ktrain and our Lions will win this Monday night they are a lot better than 90% of this forum thinks problem is 80% of them haven't seen then play but they will in prime time Monday.  And now i am signing off this useless thread.

I do agree about this thread we should be posting and discussing in another thread as this is not a good one because of the makers hatred.Just to be clear i dont hate the Lions i just started posting in this thread to give my reasons for betting the Bears this week.So i have another thread for discussing this weeks games thats under the Bears +6 write if you guys want to discuss and be back monday night in that thread!!

Everyone makes it seem like the Lions have flicked a switch and all of a sudden are a much better team.  While they were 6-10 last year they could have easily been 8-8, 9-7 or even 10-6.  

Week 1 - @ Bears - the infamous Calvin none catch
Week 2 - Eagles Lost by 3 to Eagles at home in a shootout
Week 4 - @ Packers - lost by 2 points to the eventual SB champs on the road
Week 9 - Jets - lost by 3 at home in game where Stafford was knocked out and Lions couldn't hang onto a 10 point lead with 3 minutes to go with the ball.  I can remember this clear as day with the Lions calling a passing play on third down with Stanton at QB that stopped the clock
Week 10 - @ Bills - lost by 2 in the Lions worst performance of the year
Week 11 - @ Cowboys - lost by 16 but if you remember the huge turning point in this game when Suh was called for a horse collar when he grabbed Barber by the hair
Week 13 - Bears - a 4 point loss at home and another bullshit call on Suh that was the turning point in the game - the infamous shove to the back of Cutler which was called a personal foul

Oh ya the Lions managed 6 wins and were this close on that many more while Stafford played 1 full game and parts of 2 others.  

Sure Cutler is going to get his yards but the Lions are also going to get their turnovers on him.  If the Lions can shut down Hester and Peppers they walk away with this game.
