Yes, the single biggest reason for your cost is the magic number 60. That is 60% of medical care performed by hospitals/medical facilities goes uncollected and unpaid. You are compensating for the costs the hospital incurs that it cannot and does not collect.
I have said this time and time again. How much would it be to fix your car if your mechanic was unable to collect on 60% of the work he performed?
Its awful. I'm glad to see you are now advocating for reform.

Notice how you did not address the content of the post, but simply reiterated your position. I hope your next inpatient experience doesn't cost so much. You know, I hate it when extremists fall victim to the idealogy they so preach. Kind of like when the anti-abortion, racist right wingers daughter gets knocked up by a black dude and he is first in line at the family clinic.
Again, nothing prevents a business from passing on all costs to the employee. The business only has to offer the lowest form/high deductable (catastrophe) insurance.
IMO, this is a huge problem with ObamaCare because this type of insurance might help a cancer patient, but someone who suffers a heart attack won't be able to foot the $40k in bills that insurance wont cover.

Of course it was lower when you were younger ![]()
I am not getting cross my dear friend.....we have 7.8% unemployment (more like 16%-20% probably) and business will survive is all you have to say.
1) Biz do not "owe" people jobs
2) You def never owned a business otherwise you would not be so cavalier in your text book replies concerning running one. You know how to read a balance sheet which is commendable but if you want a real world education I suggest you jump the fence and become a fulltime business owner with employees etc etc and all the glorious fun that comes with it.
Not hating my friend, I just find it laughable that people think if we juust tax business or the rich everything will be just fine and neither the rich nor the biz will adjust to the new rules.
Carry on ![]()

my comment was about the role of a company. Just bc it exists doesnt mean it was started to create jobs.
as far as employees go, they are indeed the life blood of any and every company. I think you misunderstood what I was saying.
I value the work every single one of my people does and pay them accordingly. Our turn over is very, very, very low. In my business a good toolmaker is worth his/her weight in gold.
To recap: we both agree that employees are key to any business
Also, I dont know know your past work experience but respect most of your opinions ![]()

If you increase the minimum wage, some of the multi billionaires may only be billionaires. Why should they suffer just so the people who do the actual work can rise out of poverty?

"Their polling shows 73 percent of voters want to see the minimum wage raised to $10 an hour by 2014, including 50 percent of Republicans."
50% of your party?!?!
DC LA NY...... Pretty comprehensive study if you ask me..
