Damn, you guys are brutal to Scal.  Truth is this guys heart is in the right place. The problem is he fights a lost cause. I really believe that guy could have just as well been him and he'd still be on Covers sticking up for minorities like he does.  I guess that's a good quality in a way that you have your convictions and stick to them.  Fight your fight Scal but it truly is a lost cause. Not worth the headache to stick up for the continually fucked up actions of a way-too high percentage of 13% of the population of this country.

Reality of the situation is unless a MLK like figure appears in this country race relations won't change much or will only deteriorate.

Which disregards any and all white crime in every which way because the 'proportion' of black murder rates is higher in comparison to white murder rates (which is still VERY significant).

If you just look at the power brokers in society with regard to rash of Ponzi schemes ALONE (JUST PONZI SCHEMES since 2008) you are talking about unfathomable misery and life savings being lost or severely depleted for an untold number of people (It's not just the Wilpons of the world). This doesn't even BEGIN to address the ambiguous financial instruments bought and sold endlessly on Wall Street which lead to a GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISES, which involved not MILLIONS but TRILLIONS of dollars and hundreds of BILLIONS of individuals, where again, whites were the primary power brokers. 

But "white collar crime", which is almost always overlooked and almost NEVER prosecuted, except for the WORST of offenders, is a 'sophisticated' crime in the caucasian mindset because that is one of the consequences of capitalism and free markets. 

And yes, those crimes result in untold misery and ultimately death (due to loss of homes, stress, health benefits, broken marriages and families) again, untold numbers. Those who lose their homes, and jobs and health care as a result of this fraud coupled with seismic shifts in employment and business cycles which we are still feeling and will continue to for quite some time, because of the financial crises, can be directly tracked to its origins which is primarily white crime or in its simplest form, non-black crime.

Now that is just a general statement of which I could go on for days with. But that is not 'sticky' in the white mind. A black person punching a white person is (and notice how not a single person addressed the true race crime of the kid running over a black man in a truck because he was black...because they can't).

There will always be a problem Marc. It is a lost cause, in part, because of your last sentence, which you should examine in depth personally before tossing it around like you are preparing a caesar salad for lunch.


And your comment about needing an MLK figure is LAUGHABLE. This country HAD ONE. The FBI surveilled him endlessly, believed him to be a communist, and he was ultimately, you guessed it, left with a BULLET IN HIS BRAIN for the very REASON that he was effective in his stance and message.

It almost makes me think this was staged.  It's not like he got sucker-punched.  The guy did a complete wind up. At least duck or put your hands up.

Unfortunately, the first thing most people think when they see a video like that is, "look at the black people beating up the white guy" and it's automatically race related.  But if people were TRULY honest with themselves, they would understand that maybe it was just a bunch of people beating up a guy because he was helpless and alone.  That type of stuff happens all the time with whites on whites and blacks on blacks.  Most people immediately default to race as the reason when it's white on black or vice versa.  And that is why we'll never truly achieve racial equality.

Because it WAS the default reason for CENTURIES in this country. That is why people always point to it as a reason after they learn about it.

In 1957, after schools were desegregated, Arkansas and hundreds of in an angry white mob tried to prevent kids from going to a white school for one reason and one reason only: SOLELY because they were BLACK...NOTHING MORE; threatening to LYNCH children...yes CHILDREN.

It is that legacy, that is only touched upon in textbooks that creates this as the DEFAULT reaction to each and every white and black interaction of violence. It makes perfect sense. The centuries of white supremacy in this country made it so.

And even when you look at the modern day, I have more than adequately provided statistics that show racism is still in full effect in the employment sector and I haven't even begun to talk about disparities in health care, housing, and education etc. But when you quote ANY HISTORY, people have another default reaction of "Oh, now we're gonna bring slavery into this too." It happens over and over again with bigots.

You can look to the history of white supremacy that still continues into the modern day for why we will never achieve racial equality not some ridiculous view that "People need to be TRULY honest with themselves" like this is some fucking yoga class and we all need to meditate in search of our yin and yang while we wear crowns made of flowers.

Because that is as ludicrous an argument as not getting 'pissed off' as you say about women's rights, or human trafficking, or child molestation, or any number of violations of civil rights or crimes against humanity either race related or not. This began with the Trayvon murder. You can't reply that the case can't be discussed because of all the black on white crime that exists. It is unbelievably illogical, so much so, I sometimes can't even contain myself when putting up with such a thing in response. 

Please read a book or a newspaper or a website that provides some form of advanced journalism or content or viewpoints that will help you understand how to argue when it comes to debating rationally.

You are a racists, if not, you would voice your disgust upon all forms of terrible crimes... not just pick and choose the ones that happen to be your color of choice ( black )

It doesn't really have anything to do with the Trayvon murder case...you have a knack of spinning any and every discussion in your favor, and always, no matter what , always play the race card. It must really suck being you. being born and living a life as a white man, a race in which you despise.... I really feel sorry for you...

i don't think it was staged, you can hear a crack, either from the punch or his head hitting the concrete. White guy had a glass jaw for sure. 

COULD YOU IMAGINE what they would of done to him if he fought back though? 10 on 1 beat down way worse then that.

As I watched that video I wondered where the "uproar" was..where was the threats of protest, and violence to combat that "race crime"? it really seems most racial issues are 'one sided" as in we can do it, but you can't.

And there is always no remorse, no apology and (we are supposed to tolerate and accept people's shortcomings that refuse to responsible for) if there is one, once the person that apologizes is out if earshot they usually tells their friends or who-ever is with them at the time...'I gave them their funky ass apology, but I did not mean it' so does this mean they were lying or attempting to save face with their friends? that means they live a lie and attempt to be something they are not...interesting..

I would like once to see the African American take such a positive stance when a racial attack is reversed. Until then...what can we say?
