Peavy -118 at Minnesota

I'm making 2 bets, one on the under and one on the Sox.... I just don't see how Minnesota will win this one while it goes over, and i think -120 on Chicago is great odds

The White Sox, who took two of three at home against the Twins in May, won six of nine in Minnesota last year.

I think the Youk needed a new change of scenery.  He showed today that he still has some pop in his bat.  Red Sox getting anything for him was a plus.  He is 33 and wasn't going to start for them.  I think it was a good trade all around.  Stewart, Lillibridge and 5 mill is a decent swap.

I'm not sure why everybody thinks this line should be higher.

Fellas... take a look at some of the road chalk today. Matt Cain only ended up laying -120 against the A's and a rookie starter... Lance Lynn (one of the best starters in the NL) against Jonathan Sanchez (one of the worst starters in the AL) warranted a -145 line.

So to expect something like -135 or -140 for Peavy against a guy in Liriano who's been pretty damn good since rejoining the rotation (35 K's in his last 5 starts, only 9 ER), it's just not going to happen.

Anyone who follows the NL West knows Peavy will leave the other team shaking in their boots.

Oakland A's are 35-38, posting a .500 record at home.

Minnesota is 29-42, posting a 13-22 record at home.

Chicago White Sox are 19-13 on the road.

San Francisco Giants are 19-19 on the road.

If can stay healthy and hit say .250 it's a good pick up, I don't disagree with a play on the White Sox, my biggest lean right now is the Cardinals

On the Liriano thing, he's won his last 6  team starst vs the white sox, the short line is the right line.

I don't know what you're looking at for the spread.  Scoresandodds shows the White Sox opened up at -130 and it dropped down to -125.  It shows -125 for Sportsbook and a bit lower for a few casinos.  Regardless, I don't see the value when the White Sox are 9-12 in June and 6-12 against lefties for the year.  Sure, maybe they win but where's the edge?  You're better off looking at some of the other games.

I need hard cold facts.  Not "White Sox can't beat Minny" and "check the stats, whatever it is".

What facts? Were discussing the past to predict the future. It's not out of the question to suggest the bullpens will decide this game.

For what it's worth Konerko hits .294 off Liriano in 17 at bats.

really the only thing i see going against the sox here is it seems to me like they always go and suck at minnesota no matter how bad the twins are. . no stats to back that up but as a sox fan it seems like it the last 4-5 years. . but i still like peavy better than almost any other game tomorrow
