I know that the Marina area casinos are still decent, but the entire boardwalk is a hell hole. Like a lot more so than before. Half of them are bankrupt, maybe the Super Bowl is never a big thing there what with people having house parties and you can't bet football at the casinos, but i was there on this weekend and the place was a ghost town. Borgata advertises 89$ rooms sun-thurs all over the state, and that is the big balling casino. I got a room at some place for 28$ wtf. Went in to the casino that is the furthest south on the boards, and there was one pit crew (sitting on tables watching the game), and a dozen of the saddest of the sad fucking degenerates that junkie out at the slot machines

Here in PA, you can drive to four different casinos that offer the same thing in under an hour, and the Valley Forge all resort/casino set to open with Revel in A.C., will just suck up more business from PHila area folk that still made the hour drive down to she shore. Sugar House is hood as fuck and a hell hole, and Chester Harrah's is no better. Now a nagging drive up the Schuylkill and you are at the big boy big pimpin new shit in KOP. Good thing I am not there, KoP casino would be a 5 minute drive from where I was living. 

I am curious as to exactly where in KoP they are putting a casino?

if you are going west on 76 it will be on your right.  Hell, they will have easy access for truckers to get to the place

you're nuts, we've had full blown table games since at least 2010. We probably siphon some customers from Delaware, because PA allows smoking in the casinos, and lord knows gamblers love to puff away while getting high on gambling

Just saw they have craps and everything.

Also that location is brutal, its tight getting in and out of there, I cannot imagine how they are going to route traffic through that narrow road way and how it twists with the 422 and Gulph.

I used to play a golf course a minute from there, they tore it down and are putting up some office buildings.

Well I have been gone since they were batting the full service around and it hadnt started yet.

Its a VERY good thing I live here where the casinos only offer bingo/21/slots, craps would be way too tempting.

I dont see how they can route traffic through there..the twist from the 422 to the turnpike is nasty, the route off the turnpike to get over there is also a congested mess.

I knew once PA had Casinos, AC was in trouble...........you are right easy, Marina area casinos are the new party places and are the high end, but other than that, forget about AC

My buddy and I used to make occasional trips to the Borgata for poker......not any more.....I just go to Parx to play now

shit, i play the lamest game in the casino like a straight junkie. I'm just in cash hoard mode so i don't go junk out hardly at all. Especially after i got my xmas bonus i was dying to get to a casino, so i waited until SB and went to A.C.

I'm a pai gow worky, but now that i found out about asian poker (low/mid/high) table game, i was rocking that this weekend. For some reason those asian games treat me well.  Hollywood is right outside of Hershey at Penn Nat'l. that's a 45min dip on all wide open highways, or the nice burn cruise on all the backroads

I'm jonesing bad right now and would go if i didn't have appt's early in the morn

You and any other non-gangsta type folk from the Philly area will make that drive now instead of A.C, imagine when A.C has the grand opening for the "non-smoking" Revel, and that Valley Forge shit opens at the same time. poof be gone

speaking of hood shit and the city of Phithadelphia, how do you residents feel about the recent outburst of violent crimes? I think philly is making a strong push for murder capitol of the USA

how many shootings in the last 45 days?

Lol.  Been to Harrahs in Chester once, and it's like 35 mins away.  Guess I'm more apt to piss away money on sports betting rather than poker...

The only thing that is RECENT, is the flash mobs and thats been going on for at least a year or so..........a section of that is black youth on anybody else crime, but that's getting swept under the rug as much as possible

Pull up a google map and look at that monster open area off the 422 and Gulph. Its on the backside of the mall down the street from Ruth's Chris steakhouse..it used to be this very blue collar par 72 course. We would hit it up after the market was closed and try to get in 18 before darkness set.

I think the borgata and harrahs have no problems....but I have never even tried to step into the others---- Trop and the Taj to me are like the dirty step children...I rarely ever want to go to those places

Hollywood is at Penn National, so they have live horse racing, simulcast, poker room, and a shitton of slots and table games. They are open 24/7 but they take a different approach to drinking up there relative to AC. I think they stop serving booze at midnite, and don't push it on you. I don't ever drink when i go up there. Dealers are happy, the place is safe

i dunno what you are looking to hear, if you are into some junkie gambling whenever your heart desires, it's nice to have this heavenly place so close to home,,,,,and yet far enough away to discourage going up there every day.

I want to head up there this evening,,,,,,,
