yea. could be... baltimore and the cubs. hmmmm maybe the mariners... ami forgettingsomeone? i think the stros are re-vamped a little.

Yea...the Orioles are probably worse. I couldn't even tell you their opening day rotation right now. I can't even tell you the projected one. I could tell you what they had hoped it was going to be but that's about it.

Astros may be the worst, though. Wandy has the track record but he hasn't been the same the past few years. J.A. Happ was an inspiration to all bad pitchers last year where he had a string of like 9 straight starts where he gave up 5+ runs. Absolutely amazing. Then Norris has potential which could be seen last year at times but he hasn't been consistent and Lyles had that great debut then was nothing. And with Myers becoming the closer this season...I don't even know their 5th starter yet.

Those 2 may be the worst.

But then you look at the A's and don't know what to expect consistently after McCarthy. While the Pirates' rotation could get ugly in a hurry with all the guys they have there that are a ton of question marks (Burnett, Correia, McDonald, Morton, Karstens, McCutchen and Lincoln). Bedard is the only one you can probably trust...IF healthy.

And I guess if the Mariners get an honorable mention for what they have after Felix then I guess the Dodgers, after Kershaw, can get one too. Not the worst but Lilly, Harang, Billingsley whoever else isn't all that daunting.

Question regarding the Astros - If you can't get to the ninth with a lead, why do you need a closer? Better to let Myers try to get them through 6 and then try to hang on for dear life.

Kershaw, Billingsley, Harang, Lilly, is well above what the cubs have

So in return  -  no, it was not.  His experience was overlooked by the amounts of money Boston was able unload on hitters & pitchers.  Now stepping foot in an organization where they haven't had anything close to being solid since Dusty Baker killed the arms of Mark Prior & Kerry Wood....

 

I'm happy I'm a Bears fan & happier I'm not a Cubbies fan.

Well Ricketts won't spend money not until he gets that dump wrigley fixed which they should tear it down. Plus he wants a cubs network. Don't get keyelement started on the cubs new spring training facility. They don't have to win. Ricketts said to his father dad they will show up win or lose. We'll see how Theo does in chicago. To tell you the truth, I think there is literally a 0% chance that every man on that rotation wins 12+ games. That's like saying everyone on the Blue Jays rotation will win 12+ games this season, if not impossible, than it is damn sure near it. I respect your prediction, I just don't agree with it.

Salary is closer to $100 million.

And this rotation looks pretty good to me, going to be way better than most think.  Randy Wells didn't make it and a lot of teams would to insert him in their rotation.  Samardzija could be a real surprise to people.
