Cards opened at -164 and the sharps figured that was far too much against a publicly-loved Dodgers squad, so they pounded it sending the line down to -155 which is enough of a swing to cover both sides of the bet. So at this new low price, I knew the sharps would go ahead and cover themselves while the public would jump on board as well to send the line flying back up to -163. By recognizing this &#x27;sharp&#x27; line-movement, I got the Cards 8-cents cheaper than their closing line.

Time of season rarely plays a factor in my decision making... I just look for edges that I find have &#x2B;EV and go with it. This play in my mind (through extensive capping) should have been -190 to -220 with Wainwright on the bump... Kuroda had been dealing junk for a couple of games and has been getting way too much credit. Don&#x27;t get me wrong, he&#x27;s decent but he seems to only get up for big games and even then, can&#x27;t really win a game for you. He did well in the game but Comon guys, Wainwright is a machine... literally gold -- I&#x27;ve only been riding him for 4 games (at decent prices too) but I know some buddies who have been for 8-10 games simply making a fortune -- but like I said, it&#x27;s a sharp play because it&#x27;s all about line movement; I could have bet back against myself at the closing line and potentially middle myself. Wellllll I&#x27;m not actually a sharp so I didn&#x27;t do that, but with big plays, it&#x27;s all about shopping the line and getting best price -- at least that&#x27;s what the sharps say. Anyways, thanks to all the others... sorry to bump my own thread but I was at a cottage in Mont. Tremblant and was too busy living dreams to find a computer so I couldn&#x27;t get my brag in here. Side note:I went 2-0 tonight for &#x2B;$200 with some late night plays because I got back around 7pm so didn&#x27;t have much left. Posted HERE. I don&#x27;t usually post my big plays like I did (usually have bad luck or haters or what not, wasn&#x27;t too bad in this one though!)... but I post all my action plays in that thread basically everyday so check it out.
