Reason for this play...

Making this play based on announced starting goalies. Brodeur who has allowed 2 goals or more in 5 straight starts, gets the call for the Devils. While the Islanders turn to rookie Nilsson to mind the net. Nilsson allowed 5 goals in his first career start, and came off the bench in another game allowing 3 goals on 17 shots.
