Mak's Friday Fizzle

Evening gents.  Sorry for the late post.  Got 3 for tonight.  Tough slate to cap.  Best of luck all.

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS + 5.5 (-110) - - - Got this last night, wish I had bought some points.  Was not expecting the line to drop.  Capped this game with Bogut in, I had no idea he is gonzo.  May even increase this play now.  Without Andrew Bogut this over-achieving Bucks team is in trouble.  Bogut was the only legit 5 man on this team.  Without him they turn to Gadzuric or play small ball with Ersan or Hakim at the 5.  If they go small ball they are not going to have the same success.  Out of the lineup is their leading rebounder at almost 10 a game.  He is the leader in blocks on the team at 14.  Who is going to fill the void of this former #1 pick?  Cats on the other hand are desperate for a win.  No Tyson but not much need for him tonight anyways.  Jackson although coming from a horrible defensive team, under Larry Brown is looking like a pretty decent man to man defender.  He will not allow Delfino to go off as he did last game.  Jennings will be challenged by a much bigger Felton and an equally fast D.J.  Diaw is playing some very good basketball and if Plastic Man G Wall can get is intensity back this team is a legit contender to make the Playoffs.  I think overall Cats have a slightly better team then the Bucks and without Bogut I really think the Bucks commence their regular season woes tonight.

10 UNITS FLIP TO MY LOU - - -

ORLANDO MAGIC + 9 (-130) - - - Got it at 7 last night and bought 2.  Glad I did, I think this line was out of wack at 7 and getting it at 9 is proper.  I do understand why vegas thinks that Boston will beat up on em.  Their starting 5 is better...period.  I think Perk, KG, PP, Jesus and Double R are better then the current starting 5 of Orlando.  Defensively the Celts are more poised and tuned....so why am I picking the Magic?  Because the departure of an all-star PG in Jameer means nothing to this team. This team was 12 deep before now they are 11 deep.  Jason Williams and Anthony Johnson are older then mom jokes, however they are professional vets and will carry the load just fine.  VC and Steroid Pumping Lewis are a tough matchup for any team.  Superman will be on his game tonight and as long as he stays out of foul trouble he will be a load. It is the bench and the perimeter shooting that will be key tonight.  I think they Magic want to send the statement that they are the Eastern Conference Champs for a reason. 

7 UNITS VINCENT LAMAR "CRY BABY" CARTER - - -

HOUSTON ROCKETS + 9.0 (-130) - - - At 7 last night, thought it would actually move higher so I layed off.  Stayed the same.  Still bought two.  Can't believe I am going against my Hawks.  The team that has won me the most money this year.  I just think that this is a perfect pot to get caught.  Especially against a roster like the Rockets.  Don't get me wrong, Rockets are not great.  But they have a roster that can really really cause a lot of problems for some of the top tier teams in the league.  The reason is their two wing guys Ariza and Battier.  They are very very good defenders and will cause problems for Joe Johnson and Marvin all night.  Now although Houston is not big by any means they have guys who "play big"  Hayes, Landry, Scola, Andersen and Budinger are big guys who play even bigger.  Rebounding will not be a problem as Houston manages to out-rebound very big teams.  Brooks can beat Bibby off the dribble any time.  Lowry is much improved and this Houston team has a chance to surprise the Hawks tonight.

No cheers for me tonight.  I am upset at myself.  A: I should have never taken the Cats.  They deserved to loose the game by 20 points.  They were terrible.  B: I shoulda bought up to 7.5.  I was not on point tonight.

mak....nice night, but i wish I had been here earlier to talk you off the kittens.  Larry B or not, this team is still too young and unfamiliar with each other due to the trade to get behind IMO, especially on the road.

nbafan you disappoint me my friend.  I thought you were more intelligent.  First off why do you guys keep saying 20 cents?? Do you all wager in pennies?  Cause from what I understand -110 is $110 and - 130 is $130 per unit...so where do the cents come in? Secondly why would you even ask a question like that?  I thought you have followed my threads all season including pre where I explained how I get reduced juice so many times! You disappoint me with that post bud.
