UFC announces scoring mistake in Mcall/mighty mouse, rematch to happen

One of the score cards was misread, and it was supposed to be a majority draw, meaning the overtime round was supposed to happen.

Rematch to occur....

would your book honor the draw? most casino policies are that the scores read in the ring are whats going to be paid at the window.

i got paid dawson/hopkins and they never took it out of my account after it was ruled a n/c.

We are trying to figure it out.  Problem is we don't have power to get the money back from actual tickets paid, as opposed to offshores being able to just overturn it.

The OFFICIAL result was a draw.  It wasn't overturned or anything, it was officially 28-28, 29-29, and 29-28 for Mighty mouse.... making it a majority draw.  It was just read wrong.

Anything overturned another day will never get refunded or reversed for wagering purposes.  But the OFFICIAL result here is a draw, making this situation unique.

  1. Results will be graded based on the official result at ringside.

  2. A result may be revised or altered after initial presentation by the ring announcer. For wagering purposes, results are not official until verified by officials at the fighting venue. Official or unofficial sanctioning body overturns of a fight decision based on appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result, or any other fighter sanction will not be recognized for wagering purposes.

I believe people who bet Mccall offshore will get a refund.

Especially with those rules posted by FIMK.

How does a decision get mis-read?  Has Bruce Buffer gone blind, or was it recorded incorrectly by the judge?

...and if the judge did realize the error after it was misread, why didn't someone notify the commission immediately so that they could have started a 4th round right then and there...

I'm not sure.  I don't believe it was recorded incorrectly, because than after any fight a judge could go back and say well I meant to score it one way.  He had to have written 10-8 for the last round, and someone added wrong.

I am not sure if Buffer reads straight off the official scorecards or not.  It is possible they type up something for him real quick, or write it down on his index card.

I just read the artilce re: this situation on mmajunkie.  Very odd...

Hopefully bet365 will refund my bet...

1. GENERAL RULES:

a. All bets are settled on the official result at the end of the fight and any subsequent alterations to the result will not affect bets.

b. If an event is postponed bets are void.

c. In the event of a draw bets are void.

Predict the fighter/team that will win the tournament. Reserves and substitutes do not count for betting purposes and bets will be settled on the result 'without any reserves or substitutes'.

Predict the result of a bout between two fighters.
