Does it really make a difference to help picture quality? If so, what cd would you recommend using to calibrate? Thanks

 I use "Digital Video Essentials".............& yes it can help a lot. A lot of tv's come out of the box on fire & need to be "relaxed". A simple calibration with a disc will balance the settings & give you a truer picture, & will also extend the life of the tv.

cnet.com has expert tv setting recommendations as well. Or just google your search and you will get a/v forum pages with good feedback and its FREE.
