they took a few actors from season 1 with the haunted house and they are now in an asylum back in the 50's I believe. Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto from season 1 are in this season. I think that's all that is there.

Season 1 was much better, but still better story than a lot of garbage on tv.

I disliked the first season so much I quit halfway through. It was boring at times. Plot lines were difficult to follow and not especially interesting.

I like this season though. The last episode was great. It is kind of a cheap thrill, but it is the Nip Tuck guys so what do you expect.
