For the trailer for the latest movie in the franchise shows Ed Norton's villainous character Agent Byer deciding to kill off all agents linked to the black ops Treadstone operation.
The plot is driven by the fallout from Jason Bourne's identity becoming public knowledge, with Ed Norton's worried Agent Byer deciding Operation Treadstone has become too toxic, and with so much at stake all links must be destroyed.
He says: 'We will burn the program to the ground.'
Understandably, Cross is a little irritated when he discovers his former handlers are now trying to kill him, and follows in Bourne's footsteps by deciding to escape and strike back.
He also sets out to save his former doctor Marta, who is played by English actress Rachel Weisz, a choice that ends up getting him into even more death defying scrapes.
