Captain Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 5474 Location: California	#1 Posted: 3/10/2011 3:40:33 AM this kid is 17 registers for a $2 satellite runs it up to the $250 5 million guarantee tourney (pokerstars biggest) he makes the final table gets 6th place for like 400k www.highstakesdb.com and IS UNDER 17! yo i understand he won a garbage load of money but the kid doesn't deserve it being under 18 to gamble... i mean i had to pay my fuckin dues to wait till i was 18 to start depositing im no hater the kid had a sick run and im happy 4 him but its not right to give him the money since hes under 18 and the rules to gamble is @ 18... nahm sayin? any1 agree your food for thoughts

Have you guys no clue to how much this damages all of us? In numerous countries the legislators are doing what they can to make online poker/gambling illegal. One of their major arguments is that underaged children get lured into gambling/poker/etc. and squander away their future lives on online imaginary fortunes to be made. I ofcourse don't agree with that opinion, but giving this kid the prize money would just be water on their mills. Giving him the money will hurt all of us in the future, it will give the opposition yet another reason not to legalize poker worldwide, Don't be blind, this kid is hurting the online poker industri, wheter you think he diserves the money or not...I say confiscate the money, ban the kid from online poker and do it in a manner that the world will know, that gambling is not allowed for kids, this is IMO the only way the online poker community can handle this, and still hold their heads high.

If he plays the tour he will get 3 cashes out of 30 tries like most of the others on tour or any decent poker player world wide would do if they had the money to enter.
