The Steelers were aweful on offense last week at Tenn but pulled out a 19-11 win on the road due to the benifit of 7 Tennesee turnovers and are a surprise at 2-0 as are the TB Bucs.

Pitt is a +6 in TO's and TB is a +4 in TO's. I'm not gonna get very deep into stats here since I believe this will be another ugly game for both teams. I like getting the points here for the home team vs a team with a 3rd stringer QB that has produced very little offensive output on the scoreboard. The Steelers have 7 FG's, 1 TD (OT) and 1 kickoff return TD which accounts for all their scoring so far this season. Tampa Bay has 4 offensive TD's and 3 fg's on their end. It will be a slow grinding game but I feel that TB should prevail in this contest and at least get a cover.

Pick = TB+2.5 pts.

My Guesstimate = Tampa Bay-17 Pittsburgh-16

Josh Freeman is the real deal, he takes care of the ball, makes wise decisions, and is always calm under pressure. Pitt has been winning games because other teams have turned the ball over. If Tampa doesn't turn the ball over, which Freeman rarely does, the Bucs will have a shot. Tampa just crushed the Panthers on the road, they will only improve at home. They will be dangerous

Can't dispute the fact that they are 2-0 SU and ATS as underestimated dogs... but get your AAA card ready.

TB +3: Neither offense is inspiring and the better bet may be the UNDER. I'll take the points with the home dog vs. the 3rd or the stringer QB. The Buccs seem to have more to play for than the steelers since their wins over Cleveland and Carolina aren't exactly something to be proud of.  A win over Pittsburgh will be a statement game.

? ?Freeman had 18 ints last year and fumbled 4 times. He already has an int this year. In the 12 games Freeman has played in his career he has turned the ball over 20 times. Freeman rarely turns the ball over????? Actually he turns it over a lot.  Pitt's defense wins this game.TB won't get 10 points in this game.

Pitt wins 17-6

UNDER 33.5 (2units): Pittsburgh has yet to score a TD from scrimmage in regulation time. Their defense is ferocious especially with a health Palamalu. They shut down to very good RBs in Turner and Johnson. Tampa Bay’s QB Josh Freeman has played two mediocre teams in Cleveland and Carolina. The Bucs “D”  has yielded just 10.5 PPG. Both teams are having trouble finding the end zone. UNDER is 4-0 their L4 meetings 4-1 in the Steelers L5 games played in September, and 9-0 in the Bucs L9 overall.

you nailed it for me.  The turnover battle.  I know josh freeman turned the ball over plenty in his rookie year, but you can't judge a QB like that because of the importance of second year of development.  He has come out and done his thing without many mistakes.  While you might think that this being the toughest defense he's face is a factor changer, I think that him doing on the road in division against a john fox defense in carolina was impressive enough to let me think that a little home field magic (stronger rookie/special team play) and the steelers now having a 3rd stringer rather than a legit 2nd stringer with good improv skills will make the difference.  After the last two weeks, the steelers defense has made up for the lack of an all around complete team. For what it's worth, I cashed on the steelers 1st two games and realize that the line is undercorrected here for a reason.

TB +3

Nope.  He cut it to 4 from I believe 6.  Ben back in two weeks since Pitt has the bye next week.

As far as the gambling aspect goes on this one I don't think they can get the total low enough on it.  Under all day.

2-0 Pittsburgh Steelers and the 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be a very entertaining match up.  Raheem Morris has that defense flying around and playing very fast again like they did in the Tony Dungy era.  Coach Tomlin has done a GREAT job steering the ship while his stud QB is suspended, however he has shown in their first two games that he is going to be very conservative offensively until Big Ben is eligible.  I do NOT think they will be able to run the ball effectively against an underrated defensive squad.

With that said, there will probably be one touchdown scored in this game with the rest of the scoring coming from the respective kicking teams.  However, there will not be enough field goals to put the total over 33.5!  Thanks!

Pitt wins 17-6

you can't go off of stats from a rookie on a young team with a new coaching system.  especially when he hardly has any weapons to throw to.  i guess you overlooked the game where Freeman, in his freshman year, managed to beat the defending champion Saints IN New Orleans.

not sure who can win this game but i do like the under and if i had to roll the dice, then im gonna side with Josh Freeman ( who is the real deal ) and bet against Charlie Batch o' Cookies that is sure to crumble against this TB defense.  i'll give the Pittsburgh defense credit for winning in Tennesee, but I watched that game THOROUGHLY, and know that 3 of those takeaways were simply giveaways.  Vince Young's play was the worst i've seen from anyone in awhile.  Dude was throwing lollipops in areas where all you could see was black jerseys.

bet the under / small play on TB ML

Pittsburgh - 24                           Tampa Bay - 21

Steelers -2.5                           over 33.5

Clash between two undefeated teams has me liking the Steelers in sits' like this. Coming off a SU dog win over the Titans (on the road) has this team feeling very confident no matter who is QBing. Throw in the fact that the Black and Gold are 3-0 last 3 ATS vs the Bucs

Steelers -- OVER
