#2 Posted: 11/28/2011 12:01:09 PM I like Houston here. I don't think that the So Miss defense will be able to stop their offense, and the Houston defense is giving up less than two touchdowns a game on average in their last four games. As for So. Miss, they've been inconsistent lately. What's up with losing to UAB a couple of weeks ago? Statistically, they're not markedly better than Tulsa, and we saw what happened to the Golden Hurricane last week as just a 3 point dog.

No way I see S Miss keeping this close...They looked ugly vs UAB & you can't even count their win last week vs Memphis..that's like playing a high school team...Houston blows up S Miss here
Houston 56
S Miss 10

#6 Posted: 11/29/2011 3:11:51 PM I bought in to the supposed return of good defense (SoMiss) vs UCF. It seems Houston has developed a little defense, and SoMiss has NO chance at slowing Houston I think the books have thsi line set to make SoMiss look like have a chance. Houston large!!! |

#10 Posted: 12/1/2011 5:01:13 PM Each of these teams have played the folliwing teams this season :
UAB - E.Carolina - UTEP - SMU - Rice - Marshall - and Louisana Tech.
S.Miss. average score for all is 32 to 20,and for the ones on the road average score is 32 to 25 . They won and covered 4 , won 1 S/U no cover and lost 2 .
Houston average score is 52 to 23,and for the ones at home average score is 64 to 14. They won and covered 5 and won 2 S/U no cover ,but lost none.
I got to take Cougars with Case -13 |

#11 Posted: 12/1/2011 8:34:52 PM I gotta agree with the Dr. here ---altho houston has been money in the bank most of the year,I've been trying to figure out a way for them to lose ---they won't ...it's when they take Case out of the game ,then they won't cover, and that my freinds is what it's all about. How important of a game is this to houston's coach, will he protect his star player, and is southern miss. pass defense really good enough to stop a first half blowout, yes the houston d has got a little bit better but----time for a teaser w/ houston and maybe the under straight up..... |

#12 Posted: 12/2/2011 2:46:34 PM Wacky,
It seems that Houston has a tendency to start slow, so I don't expect a first half blowout. Also, Keenum has been leaving games when they are well out of reach. Given this is his last game before Heisman voting, though, I'd expect him to play a bit longer than usual...just so he'll at least get the invite to NYC. |

#13 Posted: 12/2/2011 10:11:00 PM Excellent thread....Wacky: I read your post and I had to write something.....I am a UH grad and I will be at the game...I am not playing this game but If I had to, I would take UH.......I can tell you don't follow the Coogs.....this is not your typical boring behind team....Houston does not let off the gas and when you take out Keenum another senior quarterback comes in that is just as good as Keenum...yes, I said just as good but of course only one quarterback can play....look at the stats: the backup is Cotton Turner,,,,yes, I said Cotton Turner but the guy can play and he is relentless...the team does not stop, the defense is a lot better than what people give them credit.....they will beat Michigan!

#14 Posted: 12/2/2011 10:16:39 PM In addition, there is no bubble bursting "people".....this team is not doing it with mirrors....ya'lls analysis is way off,........this team is for real... and they'll more than cover against S. Miss......packed house, last home game for all seniors and Sugar Bowl bound. LonghornHoosier, be more original with Cooger high crap, that garbage is 30 years old......your Hoosiers and your Horns both suck in every sport!

Good analysis...hope you are playing with play money...I like Keenum's 43 TD's and only 3 picks...The only thing that is going to burst is So Miss's secondary when he throws darts through it....

#18 Posted: 12/3/2011 6:19:41 AM Austin Davis is not getting a lot props here. He is a pretty good qb. However, Houston i believe is on a mission and it doesn't stop here. Houston wins 35-20 |

#19 Posted: 12/3/2011 7:26:13 AM Great thread, and also would like to add the fact that this is a revenge game. I normally don't put a ton of stock into that, but if you add in the possible (albeit improbable) "Armageddon" scenario, they have every reason to get up for this game and play out of there minds. The Cougs D has only improved last 4-5 games, especially in their house.Note: Kendrick Hardy is listed as questionable, and although he hasn't played since week 6, he gashed Houston's D last year for over 200 yards and 2 TDs. Also, as Bhumphrey said above, don't overlook Dantin, he can throw it rather efficiently, and can tuck n run at the drop of a hat. All this being said, I just cannot see UH letting up in this game and not covering by 2 TDs for the ATS win...but then again, that's why they play the game. I actually think they will even beat whomever they meet in the (possible) Sugar Bowl, but that's a month away...feelin Houston 48-27...GLTA |

I got to take Cougars with Case -13 This is the reason, I say "A no play" for me. Have followed So. Miss this year and have made money with them. My gut feeling is they cover. However, the stats say otherwise. |
