#1 Posted: 9/22/2012 1:44:03 PM The league had a down year last year, but should be back this year and the potential is there for them to be back in a big way. I think Arizona, UCLA & Cal fight it out for the crown with Arizona taking it. I love this Arizona squad with the addition of Mark Lyons the team’s complexion looks solid. I have some questions with UCLA. The talent is definitely there, but can they make it though the season without any chemistry issues? Last year they underperformed due to such issues. I know Reeves Nelson was a big part of it and is gone, but something tells me there may be a repeat in store with this squad. I’m not sure I trust Howland to get the job done. If it remains quiet throughout the year, there is no noise surrounding the team and the kids are allowed to just play ball then the potential is there for the league to have two reps in the final four. The loss of Gutierrez is going to hurt Cal, but they still remain talented enough to stay in the mix. At season’s end I think the league gets 4 teams into the tourney.
As a sleeper team in the league, I like Washington St. Modum, Moore and Lacy are a solid core and should enable them to make a move up the standings and make a case for a bid. |

#5 Posted: 9/25/2012 8:29:43 AM Ok..so scratch WASU from my list...was on the premise of all 3 players on the court...which unfortunately won't be the case...

#6 Posted: 9/25/2012 8:39:41 AM In WASU's place slide Oregon in as a team that should fight for bid. A couple of late adds to the roster make this team look better.

#7 Posted: 10/13/2012 3:03:40 AM Why is UCLA 12 to 1 to win it all? Serious, what's up with UCLA? |

#8 Posted: 10/13/2012 8:17:51 AM kid - I'm assuming your question is asking because your feeling is the odds are way too short. If that's the case, I'd have to agree.
My take is it has to be all about what's coming in this year (similar to ky & unc)...not as much on what's returning. They've got 3 of the top 30 rated frosh players coming in to this team (assuming both Muhammad & Anderson receive clearance to play) along with a sr PG who should be able to man the controls smoothly. They were in the tourney 2 years back & were projected to be in at the start of last season. Personally, I couldn't make the bet at those odds especially with the status of 2 of the recruits up in the air. |

#9 Posted: 10/13/2012 1:45:33 PM yep, they are just freshmen. 12-1 for title, what joke. if u like UCLA, might as well play them 3-1 for PAC12 regulare season title. |

#11 Posted: 10/23/2012 12:33:26 AM You overlooked Washington........they will be the 4th team battling for the P12 title. They have the size to compete down low now along with some good perimeter guys..........might actually be a better team w/o Wroten........will be tough down the stretch.

#12 Posted: 10/26/2012 2:55:25 AM Was looking for 20-1 or even 25-1 with UCLA. Instead I found great value on 'Zona at 35-1 |
