Although this may be true, I'm not sure how relevant this is considering the Kiawah Course is in South Carolina.

I am comparing Whistling Straights to Kiwah, 2012 pga.  Top finishers there and then, and playing really well now...

zach johnson
Mclroy:  great last round last week, said he found something, a good change, helped him a lot.
Dufner:  finished T5.
D Johnson, Finsihed T5
Dyson, finished T12

Stats I am using .  longest drives (fairways are a bit forgiving for an open course, scrambling (tough pin locations- elevated greens - I've played greens like that, got to be really good at getting it up and down steep inclines, and puts gained - they have grass unfamiliar to most-betetr putters will adapt and learn it quickly.

hope that helps.
