#1 Posted: 12/2/2011 4:08:02 PM alright guys, quick question... I am around 250 right now, and am 6-1... I am not what you would call "fat" as I was an avid weightlifter up until about 2 months ago and just kind of drifted away from it. My question is: I am looking to get down to like 205, what is a realistic amount of time to hit that number if I run around 1.5 miles 5 days a week? Thanks for you help... |

Thinking one pound per week is best case for proper health.
Possibly a little more, but don't want to break up muscle fibers

#12 Posted: 12/2/2011 10:15:25 PM 1400 calories a day would put me in a coma.
Would say 500 less than current. And if you are a serious weight trainer, you already know this.......... and just friggin around. |

Wow. You must be very active. I'm a pretty normal 5'10 175 or so and I need to eat 2k or under to have a chance to lose weight. I shoot for 1,800-2,000 when I'm trying to lose a few. When I don't give a darn I'm probably eating more like 2,400-2,800. If I ate 3,700 I'd be over 200 easy, I would assume.
