Had money on Henderson, thought I had lost.
My wife who is no fan , when I asked her who won, "oh the little guy, easy"
FYI

Had money on the guy that loss to Cerrone too and thought was going to pull the big upset, til he got kicked upside the head, literally.

Not really a good product to watch , unless you are in the first 20 rows or so. Too hard to see.

Will just watch the pirate feeds next time.

Was it half empty there? The viewer numbers are horrible. $650k, compared to $4.1M in Calgary for 149 and $7M in brazil for 147
Lowest gate and PPV in 5 yrs
Maybe lightweights aren't that inticing. Pretty much everyone knew that it was going to be a decision. A 5 rd title fight that wasn't FOTN.
I've missed maybe 3 events in 5-7 yrs, I missed it cuz I'm in the mountains on holidays with family.
One thing thing I noticed at post fight presser. Looked like both fighters didn't have a scratch on them
Any thoughts?

This is my second live event.
The arena was mostly filled by main even time but the upper rafters still had some empty seats and in the corners.
I have a serious hook up for tix and he said they were moving slowly so they had to "paper" a lot of tix. This means there were a lot of free  comps.  I got comps and then needed one more, got it outside for $40 bucks and it was killer seat ringside section 15 rows up. It too was a comp ticket with no face value. As it turned out the seat right next to my wife was also open and I got to sit there. Many seats open in our section on one end of the arena.
I am a novice but I thought a lot of the matchups were odd. Like the fight with Jake Shields, he was a grinder on the floor type of guy and fought someone who seemed content to also go to the floor. Bad mix of styles in a Jiu-Jitsu type match with little "visible" action. They were booed off the stage.
(I actually thought it was cool watching them try to move and counter on the tele but it was very , very subtle stuff).
The Cerrone fight was short but very good. A lot of action and big thunderous hits. Dude, Melvin really brought it and made the fight, only to get knocked out. No caution with that guy.

The Main event was boring. There I said it. There was not a lot of action and although you could see these were classy type A fighters, they both seemed to be counter punchers and waiting for the other to attack. The winner Henderson won on sweeping leg kicks (yawn) Great talents for sure but not that great of a fight Very few big hits and most of the damage was done on the leg. If you could have seen Edgars leg, you would have known why he lost.

Hope that helps
